I’m a Vegas local (long time Hockey fan), and the depth of scoring coupled with Hill’s performance is looking to be the winning recipe. It is great to see the mental maturity shown by the Knights. A long way to go, but feeling good about their chances.

Vegas has just simply been better. Very frustrating to see Florida revert back their poor form after watching them play as a collective unit for the last month. Vegas deserves all the credit though, great team. It’s just sad to watch the team give this effort because I’m not sure when I’ll ever get to witness another run like this. Gg Vegas

Tkachuk has been a double edged sword. Seen this a lot during his time with the Flames. He can be an offensive force and an absolute menace for the opposition, but if he goes too far and spends more time trying to be a physical menace than a scoring/chance generator, he can hurt his team more than hindering his opponents. For most of these playoffs, it has been the former. The first two games of the finals have been a prime example of the latter.

No mercy is right! Shannon, Vegas is taking a page out of the 2018 Washington Capitals. It’s insane how similar this series is from that one! Vegas might be a team of destiny and boy they’ve steamrolled their way to get to this point. But they still need 2 more wins. Can they finish the job?? They’re in a good spot right now.

As a Knights fan, I really hope they can figure out a way to keep Barbashev. He’s such a good player

Vegas has now gotten both otter and bobrovsky pulled, both also hadnt lost back to back games this post season. Its such a great change of pace from other seasons where goals have dried up for VGK.

I turned the game off after the first period because the undisciplined actions of Lomberg and Montour proved that the Panthers went back to their old ways. Florida is going to repeat their performance from 1996 by getting swept. The only difference is that the 96 team actually played with guts and heart. This team collectively are playing like goons. This is over

Florida fans complaining about officiating is honestly just funny. Anybody with eyes can tell you that not only does Florida totally deserve all those penalties, but they probably should be getting even more than they are.

The Oilers basically hardened Vegas for the Panthers antics. They welcome the physical play so Florida is gonna have to try something else. Not sure how how they crawl back into this with how big the rift has been through two games. Not sure how Florida thinks they get into Vegas' head at the end of the game with getting all those exits lol.

When you have a 3rd line of Smith, Karlsson, and Amadio, a 4th line crnter of Roy, and a 3rd defensive pairing of Whitecloud and Hague, then you have some serious depth

Again... when Jonathan Marchessault scores, VEGAS WINS. This is against Oettinger & Bob. Not a fluke! Have also give credit to Hill in net, and the depth scoring by guys like Amadio, Howden all playoffs long and the unselfish play of Smith, Karlsson, Eichel, Barbashev & Captain Stone.

Oilers were the only team the went back and forth with this Vegas team. Vegas looks so good defensively. Coaches should be taking notes.

Vegas scored 4 goals on bob and 3 on lyons. At this point it doesn’t matter who is in net. This series could be over soon if Florida doesn’t figure it out

As a Canadian I was very disappointed seeing all Canadian team not even make it to the conference finals. I remember thinking to myself that I wouldn’t even watch the third and fourth round but these past 2 games have been more entertaining than I ever could’ve imagined.

Bobrovsky is like Rinne in 2017. Brick wall in the first 3 rounds, swiss cheese in the finals.

Im loosing respect for Tkachuk in this series, he was great to watch all playoffs long, being the leader and motivator Florida needed to win on momentum alone. Now every time his team goes down a few goals, he intentionally is getting himself tossed out in a pathetic attempt to not share in the blame for the losses. I mean 3 misconducts in 2 games is a joke and the best part is, this style of game Florida plays to get under the skin of their opponents has back fired and Vegas is getting under Floridas skin, GO KNIGHTS!

I did think Vegas would win in at least 6 games but I feel so bad for the panthers fans who have invested so much emotion into this team for them to turn out like this. 130 penalty minutes through 2 games has got to be a record.

As a Blues fan I hated seeing Barbie go as I felt he should’ve been extended and kept as a big part of the retool. His play in these playoffs is only reminding me how much I like him and hate that they let him go.

As a fan of Vegas since day 1, who was rooting for this team even when everyone said they wouldn’t be a contender, this win means a lot That sole win in the 2018 finals was a taste of pure joy, and to see a second one this series , I can’t wait to see this team continue to succeed Vegas strong ❤

This is an absolute dream come true for me! First time getting to come to Vegas, getting to see the VGK in the Cup Finals, and getting to see them win games 1 & 2 in Dominating fashion! If Florida figures it out at home, it's a brand new series and it's not like they've not already came back 3-1 against a record-setting Bruins club. It's not over until one team has 4 wins. That said, I mentioned in the prior recap video - Florida got this far because Bob was playing at an otherworldly level - beyond elite. Florida seems to lack the punch to really turn it around when their goalie isn't making incredible save after incredible save. A lot has to be credited to Vegas (I don't mean to understate what they're doing, they're great, but Bob made some other great teams struggle to score already) by being big and physical and able to get proper screens. But despite that, because BOS, TOR, and CAR got screens up, Bob just isn't making the saves. The clock has struck midnight and Bob is turning back into a pumpkin, and it's honestly incredibly frustrating to watch because if this happened a week earlier my Canes would probably be the ones getting smoked by Vegas right now.

I was lucky enough to get a last minute ticket to the game. The first 2 periods were the best I've ever seen VGK play. Florida had no answers for our defense. The shots that did get to Hill were smothered. Crowd went crazy for Hill during intros, Hill chant broke out during the game. Absolutely electric atmosphere ⚔

I am loving that Brett Howden has been scoring goals and making an impact on a Cup run after Ranger fans were so awful and dragged him. the best revenge is living well.

The VGK are handling Florida's slap shot tactics very well. Vegas will remained focused on winning. The Golden Knights have experienced, talented veteran leadership. I was extremely pleased to see VGK number 9 play in the third period. Eichel acknowledged Tkachuk's hit was clean.

I have to admit the bitter and spiteful part of me is turning into a big VGK fan. I’m loving this!

I'm so thrilled at being up 2-0 and winning these games in decisive fashion. Of course no one deep in the playoffs is a pushover, but here's hoping we get another W in Sunrise. Keeping it focused got you here, and staying focused keeps you here. After a few runs where we let people get in our heads (sometimes ourselves) it's great to see the team be unflappable like this. Keeping up that grit will bring us ever closer to the Grail. GO KNIGHTS GO!!!!

A few random observations. Four lines against three....a problem for Florida, how do you match up? Goudas was a marked man! Tkachuk isn't anywhere near as good as his Dad. Barbashev had only about 11 minutes ice time, but seemed like he was everywhere (how could the Blues give up on him?) Eichel can't score but he is playing great, winning hockey on both ends! Great, great, GREAT job by Jack! The setup to Marchessault was perfect. Barkov played great, but so far he's on his own. Bobrovsky will be better at home. I never liked Cassidy, but he's changing my mind. If Vegas had Reaves this series would be over.

Love that Barbashev gets one of the stars just from his big reverse hits.

I was taking Vegas to win it in 7 solely out of respect to Bob who looked like prime Hasek in the first 3 rounds... But now I don't think this series will last more than 5 games.

I think one of the biggest differences so far is that Matthew Tkachuk played for division rival Calgary since 2017. The east coast teams struggled to keep him contained, but Vegas has already been against him for years and seem to know exactly how to get under his skin.

More great play by Hill! The analysts kept saying this could be a turning point for Florida after the hit on Eichel but it looks like they might’ve poked the red headed bear. Scored a point on his first shift back. Great game! Go Knights Go!

They say it isn't a series until someone loses at home. Panthers win game 3 and they can turn this series around. Problem is Hill has looked unstoppable.

Seems almost like ancient times when we saw Matthew Tkachuk leading the Panthers off the ice and down the hallway following a defining win against the Hurricanes. He and Bobrovsky looked like the Conn Smythe contenders. After just two games in the final - that's crumbling. Now we're taking about Jonathan Marchessault and Jack Eichel. You can others to the list. THG once again points out correctly Marchessault started slow and is now the star of these playoffs until further notice.

Before this series I called and tried to put a five dollar bet on the Blues to win it. When I got the expected pushback about the Blues not being in the final...I just said that I heard Petro and Barbashev were playing and Panger was going to be broadcasting from ice level. How is that not watching the Blues? But since my horse is out of the race, I would love nothing more than to see Vegas sweep and get those two another ring. Also...I went to Vegas last year to catch the Scorps in concert. Went to a Knights game, and I've got to say...this hardcore Blues fan had the most fun he's ever had at a live NHL game. It was amazing. The only time the action slowed down was during regulation play...and that was amazing too.

Have to think Florida didn’t really anticipate this Vegas team content..amazing lines depth ..great coaching..turnaround time and a reset at home..

As a Kings fan in attendance, I was over the moon seeing Martinez and Amadio light the lamp. Vegas put on an absolute masterclass. Adin Hill was sublime. 💯

Florida didn't seem to make many adjustments going into this game. I don't think they're going to get to play scrum-heavy in this series. Vegas made adjustments and looked much more composed until the third. The last 4 minutes was kinda just drawn out and gross.

0-6 Cats in finals. My 11-yr old is crying and frustrated w. his team but I am happy for VGK and this is good for hockey, this series, the Cinderella run and whoever lifts the cup, it’s good for hockey. We’ve seen Nashville grow, Raleigh and Tampa succeed in the sun belt and Vegas really take it to another level from the beginning by connecting emotionally with their fans at a low point. I think Florida returns, Tkachuk is young and a franchise player.

I've already said imo Florida has had the toughest and improbable road to the finals, while the only test Vegas had was Edmonton! That said I thought this series had the makings of what could probably be a 7 game series! Now, holy cow, I am stunned! Florida is getting manhandled and totally feels worse than the Boston series! Also, it's 1 think to come back in the 1st Rd, teams taking 2-0 lead in the finals are 48-5! That's HUGE! I also think this is over! Will it be a sweep? It could be, but I will hold not likely! I have to believe Florida wins game 3 or 4! Funny too, all the talk was of who would win con Smythe Tkachuk or Bobrovsky! Now, if it continues this way, does Hill deserve it!? Especially since Vegas has 9 different goal scorers....

One thing has been apparent over the last month: The Oilers are the 2nd best team in the NHL. Once Vegas beat Edmonton, that was it. That series winner was winning the cup.

I've been an Avalanche fan since the Forsberg days and was ready to root for anyone against Vegas. It took Florida 10 minutes of game one to change my mind and really like Vegas aftee all.

Great game by Vegas they play as a team they’re stronger on pucks. They win wall battles. Tkachuk has a crazy amount of penalty minutes. I’m glad Jack Eichel came back after that brutal hit by Matthew Tkachuk, although to be fair, Eichel was toe picking at the wrong time. Not his fault. But if they stick to their system play the way they’ve been playing Keep it up boys keep it up.
