I’m loosening up about reading hyped books, too. I was super sniffy about The Jane Austen Society by Natalie Jenner when it first came out but I ended up really enjoying it…I actually read it twice last year because it turned out to be such a cozy read. That biography of Holbein looks amazing! Putting it on my TBR as we speak…😆😆😆 💛🐈💛

Apart from the fact that I love books and videos about them, I love how your videos feel like free travel to me. England is my favourite country and London my favourite capital, in the world. During the pandemic (and also now, during just normal working life) it feels like I get a little peak inside another world I love

So glad you enjoyed The hating game ! it's now one of my favourite romance too. And same, i wasn't really into it ends with us the first half of the book... middle to end it turned really good. Booktok , bookstagram and booktube do sometimes point me exactly to my next favourite book, other times... errr not so much. You should try The Kiss Quotient by Helen Huang if you haven’t already - like yourself I don’t read much romance but I absolutely loved that one. The main character has autism and she is wonderful. It’s great that there are so many books about people with bookish jobs, there are less books about quality engineers (I wonder why! 😂) but if there was one I’d certainly read it!

As an English teacher that finds it hard to move beyond classics and modernism, I'm trying to give some popular fiction a go. I really appreciate your take on these popular romances. I think I'll start with The Hating Game. Also, that King's Painter read looks amazing! 🐱

If you're in a romance books kick, you should definitely read Seven Days in June by Tia Williams! It is easily one of my favourite reads of this year so far, if not a favourite of all time really! This was such a great, cosy video! Sybil is sooooo adorableeee, I'm a sucker for all and every Sybil content 😜🐱🐈
