Shop Days Vlog: Firewall Motor and Getting Rained Out!
This is a combination of a few days of footage in-between the well produced videos by Andy Lenzz. the more personal feeling videos you guys have been asking for like this will be sprinkled in-between the nice videos.
in these clips i get my firewall buttoned up, the motor back in, the radiator painted and also lose my cool when the cars get stuck in the rain!!

I recessed the firewall by scribing a 2 " line from the 3 body line ribs, then cut the portion away. Then folded the 2 " flanges straight back (90° to the firewall). Made a flanged lid to close the triangle opening under the dash.

First off you looked like a baseball player when you threw that object lmao 😂🤣,so sorry you got mad BUT that was funny I don't care who you are it was funny, mad my day. Ok you have a beautiful Rottweiler, I miss mine. I love the rad. pipes( hoses) , I didn't know that those engines had 2 water pumps. I really hope you do put the fenders back on. Fenders will go back on after I get it on the road. They are too big and bulky in my small garage lol

I myself prefer a 2" chop just so it looks more traditional and plus you have more head room. I love a little modifications but keep them limited to where it looks some what original but with a stock custom. Most of everything your doing is how I want mine. I am doing a small block Ford and want to some how have it a all roller engine but have the outside of the engine looking old school.

Travis great video love what you did with the intention in the firewall on your coop...... got one question are you going to box the frame are you gonna run the model a rails the way they came from Detroit????????get back to me on that one junkman do

Just the way they came my friend. On another build with more power I’ll box the frame but for this one it’s just fine!

Enjoying the content!! Nice little detail on the motor mount plates. Radiator paint is "special" to allow for better heat transfer. Need to be careful not to apply too much "normal" paint on radiators for that reason. ;o) Hope the fenders will be on the final car!! My favorites are the 35 spokes (or same vintage Kelsey Hayse bent spokes) with the trim rings and little caps. Killer look !!
