Yes, they design the AC compressor to be fail safe. If it the freon pressure gets low. The clutch(the tick on and off sound)won't engage until it the compressor senses the ample amount of Lbs of freon to engage.

@@tbperry83yes on the Park Ave there is one that is located underneath the dash just to the right of the steering wheel.

@@cedmac3366 it looks like a pain to replace too. I had a time replacing my blower motor resistor on the passenger side and had more space to work with. Have you replaced a blend door actuator? I’m considering giving it a try.

You can connect the hoses after you start the car. Just make sure the car is running and the fan is on High while you are filling the AC refrigerant.

That's right...its the low port...but the good thing is the nozzle is fail safe and will only fit the correct (low) port.

@@averagebright9021 lol...if im not mistaken there are 2 heat/ac actuators like for the Park Avenue bcus of the dual climate. So I believe one of the actuators is stuck more on the hot side. I have a video on the actuator behind the glove box. I haven't done the one for dual climate yet. But It is prob located just below the steering wheel slightly to the right

None of it I just tried it and my car still just blows out hot air.

@-FTR-FRESH- Does your compressor engage at all...try turning on your windshield Defrost...the compressor should engage when you turn it on. If not then check to make sure your AC belt is not broken and also check your AC compressor relay/fuse. If these all check out fine, then you may need to add more refrigerant bcus it may be really low. If you did all the above and it's still not working, then you have a more serious issue with your system.

@-FTR-FRESH- Also, did it take the whole can and how much did you add. Sometimes you need to add more for the compressor to engage. The compressor will not engage if the refrigerant is too low.
