I low key love the way your dad has systematically laid out all his puzzle pieces instead of a heap. He has full visibility. He has a strategy. He even has time to peak in the kitchen and start arguments. Go Simon's dad!

My family does at least several puzzles per year, all at minimum 1000 pieces (otherwise it goes too fast), and we don’t just arrange the pieces like this, it’s organized in shape and color. We keep boxes to organize those pieces in and so we can pass pieces around easily. It’s a family bonding moment with snacks and conversation and jokes and laughter. It’s the best.

As a mom who "loves her children unconditionally," I'd have to put the limit at about 300 pierogi!

I related so hard to the loud critical European family warning, growing up with a Ukrainian mother & grandmother 😂. In fact I think I now AM your father, instructing & criticizing from the sidelines 🤣💜. Thanks for this, living in Australia my European "passion" & "expressiveness" is not understood well by my quiet partners over the years, this reminds me I'm "normal" in other cultures. Btw, that dough wasn't right but you'll get there with practice 😜😘. Edit after watching end: After rinsing your sauerkraut, gently saute in pan next time with plenty of butter, as well as salt & pepper, and keep tasting it as you go until it is very flavoursome. 👍🏻

One of my favorites of your travel videos is when you go to Poland and have perogies with your fans in a celebratory dinner. It's so fun to see you making them with your parents.
