Hi, I'm a fish farmer from indonesia, we used this system as well... Many time we failed in process... but thanks from your information we can make progress and fit in our condition... We don't have much budget to go on higher lever but we can adapted to similiar technology... Many thanks, and may god bless us..

Do you medicate fish in a separate set-up? Because sanitizer and antibiotics can kill the nitrifying bacteria.

The setup costs for RAS are so high that the viability of RAS as a revolutionary alternative will always be questionable. That's why, probably, as time goes by, BIOFLOC will end up being the "Big Brother" to RAS in India.

Biofloc system cannot grow all the species, it works best with filter feeders. Anyway, you wisely use the word probably so other many shades of development may happen with time. Right now, every Tom Dick and Harry are biofloc trainers and earning more than the farmers, may be rightly calked the big brothers (cheaters)
