Phra Dan (Bhante Dhammarakkhita, Bhikkhu) is a Theravada Buddhist Monk who lived in India from 2020 and Thailand from 2023. Born in Sussex, England in 1967. Educated by French Catholic Monks. A successful businessman in Estate Agency and Financial Services during the 1980's and 90's. Married, now divorced with 3 adult son's. 2000 marked change and travel including South Africa returning to the UK in 2003 to continue different work and business activities until 2012. Gradually materialistic values turned to renunciation, simplicity and meditation, living nomadically in an old Ford Transit van full time for 3 years. Vanlife and meditation led to Buddhism and a Thai Forest Tradition, Theravada Buddhist Monastery in the UK. During 2015 travelling the Buddhist Holy Sites of India, deep faith reinforced desire for Ordination. In 2020 after 5 years of intensive meditation practice between Thai Forest Monasteries in Thailand and England he was Ordained in India where he lived for 3 years until returning to Thailand in 2023.

Much can be learned from the caduceus, namely that when two snakes intertwine the result is a madness 😂❤️‍🔥🙏 Did you know homo erectus neanderthalsis used fire and believed in the medicinal power of tattoos to organize inner processes?

Bhante, its me bug boy! Thank you for this message. So if we are reborn and cant remember our past doesnt that mean we actually die? I mean if I am reborn and I have no memory of who I was isnt that death ? This was extremely advanced. Live with no desire, live with a goal but with no desire...Easy Peasy. I do agree that humans on the planet is very odd. Nature is so self contained and then you have these beings (humans) with super intelligence. Strange. You know what helps me? Reading about different theories from quantum physics. Like string theory or the concept of time and so on. I guess because if confirms that things are not quite like them seem. Thanks again,

I have doubts regarding the concepts of insubstantiality and Buddhist rebirth, probably based on my misinterpretation or ignorance, but I am not convinced by certain things as I have seen them explained. It is sometimes said to take care of our karma, so as not to be reborn, for example, as a deva or demon. Apart from the fact that we agreed categorically that there was no me... how is the matter going to depend on me, if they say that in everything there is a dependent origin and co-emergence? Then they tell me that no, it is not me who is reborn (although I usually read that a certain person was reborn or will be reborn in such a way), but rather it is my conscience. But if consciousness has always been present (although constantly changing) how will it be reborn? By the way, despite the change that occurs in it, given that infinity, wouldn't it be expected that there is some substantial element that maintains it? The way I see it, surely as I said, wrong, is: there is a consciousness in constant change, without any identity or essence, which is not reborn, but inhabits new bodies infinitely in time, without beginning or end. . I don't know where it is or what allows it, but it is eternal. Forgive my boldness and ignorance, but it is a topic that does not fit me even though I try to make it fit, because otherwise I love Buddhism. I hope you can give me an clarifying answer. Thank you!

Stop thinking about it. If you keep the precepts and meditate you will see there is nothing to believe or love about Buddhism just a simple truth. Be happy and stay well.

Hello. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. While listening to your talk , a thought arose regarding motion. Motion appears to be everywhere and dependent on other motions. My understanding of motion is within these terms of dependent motion. Your brief explanation of the cause of rebirth in the Now or after death suggested to me a perpetual Motion with intelligence. I’m not able to go further than this :) It would be lovely to hear a talk from you sharing your thoughts on motion.

There is no creation. if God created? Who created God? This is Cause and Effect. If God created, how come a born blind and a sighted person creation. God is compassionate, he will never do some thing of that nature. Thanks.
