Sounds really clean and natural. Post-processing is expected to get a proper freq. + phase balance from all those mics. We all know that if the drums sounds great, the whole song\album sounds great (and vice versa)! Really hard work, Kohle! Always a pleasure to watch you record\mix, though just as a video presentation.

It's refreshing to hear such a natural sound in extreme drumming, and with such a minimal post-processing. In the end, to me It always comes down to the quality of the source (engineering, performance)

Hell yes! I’ve been waiting for this! Your approach to Including natural in extreme metal is amazing. I have been obsessed with miking, recording, and mixing all natural drums into extreme metal mix without the use of any samples or triggering. I look forward to your lessons on drums.

Oof im not even a drummer but that is my ideal drum sound for extreme metal 🤤 That snare is so on point and clean! Ken is an absolute monster of a drummer and Aborted is a killer band 🤘

So minimalistic, yet such huge sound! I completely understand capturing the right sound coming into the mics first. Makes so much sense. I think people lack the patience to get that great sound first. Or maybe don't even think about it anymore. At least that's true with the guys I work with... GREAT VIDEO!

But yeah, I would definitely check and get your courses cause I really like your simplistic way of mixing drums without 10 thousand plugins... I Would like to see more in detail your editing, phasing step before etc. And for sure the micing technique you are using.

Great sound! I loved that sound from the first moment when i saw the video "Bit by Bit" years ago!...Here we clearly see what happens when a great Drummer meets a great producer! The rest is history!

I forgot to say that "Drum Replacer" also slightly gates the area between the hits. But yeah, debleeder does the main job.
