I was recently on a new-to-me 30’ single screw rudder boat. Granted I had a bow thruster but seriously that guy is clueless. Turn off the center motor, run the port & starboard, and you can spin that boat anywhere no problem. I’d GLADLY have been piloting a few OB’s over the single screw.

I was a liveaboard on a 37 foot sailboat for 14 years, try backing a full keel sailboat with a rudder the size of a door. Calls for careful planning and a lot of practice, wind and current pretty much dictate where the boat is going to go.

Buying a boat over a certain length and power should demand you to take a "captain" or "boating" course. Like buying a car and getting a drivers license to use it.

Man needs to sale that boat that he can’t dock. It had to be pulled in.

As soon as I saw that boat I knew it would be the woman in the blue swimsuit making a scene. It looks like the current is going from right to left so why do they always try to bring the boat in to the right side of the dock?

I'm not sure how much this thought will apply, since it wasn't actually Alfred there today. But there's another boat ramp guy that I follow who's up on the St. John's river. And he gets yelled at all the time! Lol. And I've always wondered why that is when Alfred seems to be such a beloved character at black pointe Marina! So it's good to see that sometimes Alfred (or at least his guy) takes a little heat too 😂
