Wow I have that "Televisions Greatest Hits" album both 1 & 2 on vinyl. I didn't know it came out on Cd. You learn something new everyday.

Once I heard those first 10 notes of the CD you were playing, I knew it was likely to be a TeeVee Tunes 'Television's Greatest Hits: Volume 1' compilation CD which I also have in my soundtrack collection. That looks like a very cool Studebaker CD boombox indeed and the lights are lots of fun. :)

My friend in college in the late '60s used to tape all the TV show themes. He gave me small tape reel copies from his tapes. He had the idea to issue them on records and no one thought it would sell. Of course ten years later this album and others came out. My friend had a career anyway writing TV encyclopedias and nostalgia books.

I loved the sharp angles and "aluminum look" of '80s consumer electronics. The appearance of radios of the '80s reminds me of modern scryscrapers. I need to review this video - it sounded like the radio in this boombox might be a step-tuned DSP design. That's a good thing where FM is concerned; these DSP radios are usually very decent at getting a lot of stations. I'd really like to hear how good or bad this model is on AM (if it does have AM that is). There are a couple of expensive boomboxes I'm attracted to, but I'm concerned about mechanical reliability. The reviews can be scary! LOL!

Record-ology, the light show on your boom-box is totally gorgeous! With the lights turned off, I could watch that sucker all night long! All in all, a very handsome unit! Solid-looking, too! If you like a lot of bass, have you ever checked out the JVC Ka-Boom Box? It's built long and tubular -- somewhat reminiscent of those old 1950s horizontal vacuum cleaners that you pulled along behind you. The regular speakers are facing toward you on the front. On each end are what look like a rubber tire. Inside each of those two tires is a sub-woofer facing outward toward the side. You wanna hear some bass, listen to it if you ever get a chance. Holy crap! I just love mine, although when I moved to my current apartment 4 years ago, I somehow lost the remote control that came with it. (The remote controls the built-in equalizer which gives you umpteen levels of bass in a variety of listening situations, i.e., Club, Stadium, Jazz Club, etc.) Without it, my Ka-Boom Box is stuck in a super-thumpy mode which I'm sure my neighbors would not appreciate if I were to cast all fate to the wind and really crank it!

If this boombox had a cassette player/recorder, I'd buy it. The light show and the name are worth the money.

I think it's "Studebaker," unless it's spelled a little differently for the brand name. This is a pretty fancy set. Never 👌 knew it had a 💿 CD player until ya got a couple minutes into the 📹 video. I noticed that the VU meters are digital, but the radio dial is surprisingly analog. It's 👍 like they have a new twist on this set, with a little old 🏫 school. Would be a real surprise to 👀 see a version of this, that plays 8-👣 track tapes, or have a 5 inch color 📺 television built-in. Your friend Jeff.

you posted a link for a different(but similar) model:this is the correct model: Studebaker SB2149S Master Blaster Bluetooth Boombox with 3 Way Power, AM/FM Radio, USB Port, CD Player with MP3 Playback, LED EQ and 10 Watts RMS Power in Silver The one you posted has several differences-only a 2 digit track display, no AM on the radio, no USB connection and no MP3 playback(and possibly other things as well).

It's a reminiscent of the 80s , now you can stand up and hold your boom box like John Cusack in Say Anything lol

man..wanted to get a Retroboom box about a year ago (to go with my 93 mustang I got)..but reviews on the Tape Retros are not that good. came across this CD version...still gives the look , and wondered if it would play CDs/Music Better.

I have 2 80s ghertoblasters right now,a national panasonic and an aiwa.id never let them go.always thought this looked nice but it's not something I'd buy as I'm original all the way.but for those wanting to embrace the past in a modern package then I can see the appeal.

Allot of the new boomboxes are ugly, with that 'egg look', or 'bug head' look. This boombox, got around that. 🎉

Again, a year later, a Bluetooth radio that doesn't support a bluetooth earbuds, earphone is not worth it's weight in rice. If I'm missing something and it does NOT, avoid the Studebaker boom boxes/radios like the plague. If what I'm surmising is true, that's shameful in the 2020s not to have that capability saying its "bluetooth compatible"...
