I personally find the whole process therapeutic. Everything from unwrapping a new record (or receiving a used record), placing it on the platter, cueing up the record, reading the liner notes, flipping the record, re cueing the record, taking the record off the platter, returning it to its jacket and finally placing it back on the shelf. Heaven!

I was a DJ in college from the mid to late 80s, and I was pretty swept up by the CD revolution. During the height of the pandemic, I got a turntable again, and dug out some of my old records, and then started buying new records again. During lockdown, I found it was so soothing to just kick back and listen to music, and I wanted my listening to be more intentional. I do discover quite a few new bands on streaming, but if I love something, I want it on vinyl. I love the warmer sound, physical media, and the handling and care of vinyl. I seriously think that vinyl got my through the worst of the pandemic, especially pre-vaccine. I also really dig colored vinyl...so great!

Long-time studio guy here (since 1976). My listening formats have gone from 4-track, to 8-track, to vinyl, to cd, to mp3, to streaming. It really depends on what you are after. Today’s lossless streaming stuff is sonically perfect, but that’s not always what you want. With real, classic vinyl albums ( not re-masters), you are getting a product as it was intended to be presented-from recording to mastering. That’s the way this music was meant to be heard. Digital perfection? No, but fidelity to the music-yes. Not to mention the pleasure of reading, and re-reading, and re-reading the liner notes as your records spin! What a joy. Especially for those of us who were there, there is an extremely satisfying experience in escaping to a simpler time in life, even if only for 50 minutes. And, just as you said, I own it.

I’m really just fascinated by how a tiny groove of sound wave imprints can contain so much music and sound.

I started with vinyl in the 60's then moved more to CD's. In the 80"s my wife said we don't need vinyl anymore, get rid of it. In 2011 I started again after getting rid of the wife. Lucky I saved some of my original L.P.'s, I get the same feeling I got when putting an LP on the turntable the first time, takes me back to a memory. You don't get that with CD's and definitely not with streaming.

A few years ago, my wife got me one of those cheap turntables from Wal-Mart. The first records I got sounded tinny, because my equipment was not great. BUT. There was something about holding a record, watching it spin, and hearing analog sound that captured me. Fast forward a couple years where I invested in some good equipment and I LOVE sitting down and intentionally listening to my music. Because putting on a record takes time to get out, clean off, anti-static brushing, etc - I feel more invested when the music starts. And just like you said - it IS therapeutic. That's my meditation time. I love buying records because it makes me feel like a teen again, wondering what album I'm going to get next. Great video, and all those reasons are spot on. I, like you, also use a streaming service, but that's for my background music for the working day, and such. When I want to really listen, I go to my vinyl.

There are many reasons why my wife and I collect and prefer vinyl albums over Streaming Services or even CD’s. Many are what you mentioned. There is also the pure physical aspect of playing vinyl. My wife and I select an album to play every evening to listen to while we are having dinner. Obviously before we ever finish our meals it is time to get up and turn the album over to play side 2. We don’t find this to be inconvenient, it just gives us a brief pause during our dining experience. This is true for any other time we are playing albums, by having to be in the room or close proximity while you’re listening it makes you a complete part of the listening experience not just some music in the background. Of course we also love when there are extensive Liner notes to read and photos to look at on the Jackets especially with our much older albums from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Even some of the older inner sleeves are amusing to look at (we don’t store our records in them but we do keep them in an organized location separately).

The ritual/process of playing vinyl is like sitting with your food for a moment with gratitude before you eat it. Having reverence for the things we enjoy is a good thing.

This is one of the best videos that you have done Mark, very near and dear to me. Started collecting and listening to vinyl in the early 60's. Still am collecting and listening today. There were no electronic distractions (cell phones, computers, etc.) back then, only TV if you wanted to watch it, so the audio entertainment consisted of poor quality AM radio and vinyl. Couldn't wait until the favorite place to buy LP's (in my case was a local drug store) got in new albums to buy, and these were $3.99-$5.99. Not only are the liner notes interesting, but the album covers/jackets were a treat. Albums by groups like The Moody Blues, Yes, King Crimson, ELP, etc. always had something new and interesting to peruse through. If I only knew when I started collecting that taking care of the LP's was important! Take care

Back in the day I was experimenting. I moved my turntable into a separate room just to see how it would sound when my buddy came down. He said where’s the turntable I want to see the record on the platter. I had to move it back. That’s the viewpoint of a hard-core Collector Why go to a museum in a foreign country to see an art painting that you could see online? Everybody’s imagination is different

My vinyl record collection tells the story of my life better than words can. Each album is a time capsule full of memories especially those from the 70s & 80s when I was in my teens. Vinyl may not be as technically good as digital, but it sounds rich and smooth and real in a way digital never has to my ears. Remember, there is no such thing as to many records

I have never liked the digital sound although it has it's uses in my setup. I have always preferred vinyl so I didn't get rid of my vinyl when CD arrived on the scene, some of it is 50 years old and still plays beautifully without clicks and pops and surface noise. My TT is a Linn LP12 and is 35 years old but it's been upgraded over the years and it always sounds better than digital to my ears. It's the main reason that I continue to enjoy vinyl. Great Video, I'm an avid collector and always will be. You mentioned everything that's great about a physical product with using and playing a record. Im into more genres and discovered more bands by being on record collectors groups and also taking the odd gamble in a record fair or a shop. I do use Spotify but only in the car and when I'm lying in the bath as I don't want to be flipping my discs while enjoying my soak. Records will never die, the feeling of a delivery, opening, playing and reading the notes feels like Xmas as a kid and maybe that's an integral part of it all. Also sourcing a grail you want. Took me 10 years to get a brilliant record in excellent condition and I admit I payed a few quid for it but already it's nearly trebled in value. It was 'Electric ladyland by Hendrix, The nude cover on Trax with the blue text in case you're wondering but the search and eventually the buy felt amazing Music is Al about the soul. As people we are not perfect and that's what I love about records. (I can't use the word vynil) . Building from a few Beatles and stones albums my mother had to now having the disease in collecting certain bands or electronic collaborations gives great pleasure compared to whacking on a few songs from your phone. BTW. For anyone who is scared to dive into records buy a decent player. Ideally seperates is the way. Avoid Crossleys and cheap players as they ruin records . Check out Market places for Speakers, amps, and decks. You can easily get a great sounding set up for around 150 quid. A pair of Technics speakers you can pick up for 10 quid I've even seen higher end missions speakers going for cheap as chips as people upgrade the amp must have phono stage or the deck has a built in phono stage.. You can pick up a 2nd hand one for 30-80 quid depending on condition and brand. Look for Onkyo, a9010 😮, they are out there. And for the deck I recommend either an old Pioneer PL 12 D for 60- 100 or a modern 'project' Deck without the counter weight for around 120 max So looking at a budget of around 200 quid to get you started excluding the leads which you can get on eBay or whatever. The beauty is that in time you can upgrade and sell on so you hardly lose money. Anyway, it's all about the music and that's what matters. Sorry for the long essay 😁

One thing I can definitely say I enjoy with vinyl records is the whole nostalgia associated with the process of listening to my records. I just turned 57 not long ago and as I was growing up in the '70s and '80s records were the primary format we used it home. The radio stations played records too. We had cassettes of course but they were more of a way to listen to your music as you were driving or out somewhere where a turntable wasn't really possible. There's a lot to be said, at least to me, in the hole nostalgia factor associated with one of the reasons I enjoy listening to and collecting vinyl albums. I like what you quoted from the Matrix movie. I've heard others say similar things about how perfect, and really kind of unrealistic, the digital source sound can be. I've never really given it a lot of thought but that does make sense. One of my favorite bands, Led Zeppelin, always sounded great in their live shows I've collected through the years. About 20 years ago and I realized one of the things I liked about the live, and not always great sounding, recordings from Led Zeppelin and other bands is that you get the imperfections and unedited sound. It hasn't been mastered or produced for commercial sale. I kind of like hearing when the band or artist makes a slight mistake and then recovers or does something you normally wouldn't hear. It's those imperfections that make it more real to me. And in a lot of ways what you were describing with albums fits that same criteria or box. I've been buying, and not very often, albums ever since I started back in collecting them around 1993. I always enjoyed listening to LP's and records the most even back when it was the normal way people usually did listen. I had always planned on getting a new turntable and getting back into vinyl but didn't actually wind up doing it until somewhere around 2015. I had been given a cheap turntable and it really didn't sound too good. So I still was collecting and listening to CDs, DVDs, and FLAC files more than anything else. At least up until 2019/2020 when I finally decided to get a good and decent turntable and start enjoying vinyl again. I had no idea any revolution was going on or starting back up in the vinyl world. I just knew that I'd been putting off buying a turntable for too long and I'm glad I got it when I did. I haven't been buying anything except records over the last 4 to 5 years with an occasional CD to back up an album I want to be able to listen to elsewhere. It's just as easy and almost as cheap to buy a CD as it is to rip and track your own. But I have completely, and really unexpectedly, revamped the way I enjoy my music in the last few years. Once again I'm enjoying the nostalgic, and to me comforting, experience and sound of listening to my records. Definitely therapeutic and the pride in the collection. I also love fishing for the next record, searching out things for the collection and also discovering something new. Sound quality on a good turntable is also something special.

My record collection brings me joy beyond its cost. The ceremony of playing a vinyl record is a big part of the enjoyment.

Mark, I enjoyed this topic and would like to share my thoughts. Collecting vinyl has always been my passion. My collection started in the late 1960's and has grown (embarrassingly) large over the decades. All of my albums from then to now were cared for and are in mint collection. To me it is a combination of being representative of and a visual record of memories of where and who I was at that time. All albums are not great, classic or important but at some point you bought it and there was a reason that you chose it. The choosing process was important. I have a strong memory of my Dad taking me to a long gone vinyl store to get my copy of "Tommy". I still have it. I have memories of going to a record store with friends and coordinating who would buy which album so we could go home and listen to different albums. I can follow my vinyl collection through the mid-eighties when it moves to CDs. While I do not have the same affection for my CDs as vinyl the collection is equally as important to me for the same reasons. You cannot look at a display screen with a perfectly organized, sorted, alphabetized collection and visualize your life and memories. All "things" have value in the memories they hold and what they mean to the beholder. I don't ridicule the digital only set but I am sad for them because they will never make these connections and memories. No lasting memories are being made with the first Spotify search.

You touched on a lot of the reasons I enjoy collecting vinyl, thank you for sharing. I also enjoy collecting vintage ( golden era ) audio equipment, to play in on. My current, favorite set up, is a ROTEL RX-402 receiver, TEAC A-2520 reel to reel, KENWOOD KS-H51 speakers and a PIONEER PL-12II D turntable. I absolutely enjoy the ritual of preparing and playing vinyl records. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for this very well done video. Let me recognize one more advantage to the vinyl format - it is a fully mature technology, which means the ability to record, manufacture and listen to a vinyl recording will continue to be with us and available to us probably longer than our lifetimes. This technology settled into its present form in the late 1950s when stereo records emerged, and everything produced since then is still playable and enjoyable to everyone at reasonable cost. I still have some very old vinyl LPs which I continue to listen to and enjoy to this day. We vinyl collectors never have to worry that some day suddenly the technology will radically "advance" so that we can no longer listen to our collection of records!

My record collection is the story of my life. Each album takes me back to the time period of when it was released. I like the ritual of playing the record. What gratifies me is watching my friends reactions while browsing through the library. Most of them say. I didn’t know this was on vinyl!

I grew up with vinyl but did embrace CDs back in the day and I do stream music when I’m cooking or doing jobs. Am totally with you on the therapy point - it’s the aesthetics of playing a record, watching the label spin and the arm on its slow journey across the record. For me I also enjoy the fact thay Vinyl is a much more engaging listening experience. You’re not scrolling looking for a song while you’re listening. You’re not hitting the skip button. You’re strapped in for the ride and you’re enjoying the album and how the sequence of songs within the 1 album create an experience beyond just listening to 1 song. You are listening to an album, a body of work whose effect is larger than the sum of its parts.

This is a fantastic video. 💯 on everything you discussed. I also like the fact that by listening to a record, you are committing yourself to the task. It actually feels like an achievement when it’s so easy to go from one song to the next. A bit of commentary on the state of play in the world at the moment I think. Also sometimes I try to ‘save’ an album for vinyl only (especially my rare and expensive ones). I feel like that creates additional value and elevates the experience. Streaming can devalue it I think.

For me, there is a nostalgia factor, but in general, there are certain things that I really just enjoy the physical process involved. I agree 100% that listening to streaming music is largely a passive experience. It's something you do when you are not focused on the music, and the music is just in the back ground. Listening to vinyl is an ACTIVE process. I physically choose the album, I have to prepare it to be played, and then I manually put in on the turntable and lower the arm to play the album. When I listen to Vinyl, I go to a specific place, and I sit there and listen to the music. It's my pre,ary focus while the record is playing. The same thing could be said I suppose for CD's, but it's still not as tactile as a record. This is similar to my choice to have a manual transmission in my car. it makes me actively involved in the driving experience. It's more work, and it's not as "perfect" as using an automatic, but it's much more engaging for me. Some things are worth taking the long way for the experience. Listening to Vinyl is an EXPERIENCE. Very different from streaming for me. Love your channel, and keep the content coming!

I really don't know why I got back into vinyl. After a couple of decades of not listening to music in the home ( my wife is just not a big music fan), I finally got a chance to set up a listening room. I started with cds and downloads because it was just so convenient and less expensive. I could now make a "mix tape" in mere minutes. And the sound quality is so good. But I had a box of records I've been hauling around for nearly 40 years in the attic, box of memories. So I added a turntable and brought them back into the light. I'm not one of these "it's the process" fans. I like to just put on the album and drop the needle. But lately I find that cleaning an album is a challenge that I like to take on. How clean can I get it? But what I really enjoy, besides listening to the music, is going to a store, search for some "new to me" music, and dropping the needle to listen to for the first time. Just like in the old days.

The main disadvantage of digital media is that hardly any YT channels feature it. I do love it though. Yes, you can discuss dynamic range and lack of surface noise and those are important, but digital media are so much fun! I have a few hundred LPs and enjoy them, but you won't get the variety of music experiences that digital provides. No vintage quad sound, no 5.1 or Atmos, no video performances on a 2nd disc. Vinyl reissues may include rare extras on an extra LP, but that comes at a cost of almost two complete albums. As for album art, LPs sometimes have an advantage here but there're also beautiful CD box designs from studios like Bill Smith (Mike Oldfield, King Crimson, etc.). Soundwise, CD puts me closer to the music, vinyl too often puts me closer to the *record* --although I admit that that can be rewarding in its own way!

I play cds and vinyl almost every day on a pretty nice sound system. I find I play vinyl 90% of the time. I enjoy the beautiful covers, the process of playing the lp, and the lovely (mostly) sound.

Also the lyrics that you can read/sing along to on vinyl/cd formats. I recall thoroughly enjoying, as a point of record listening ritual, learning the words, which I can still call to mind today. I don't have that close, immersive, relationship with the music and musician with non-physical formats.

Any analog experience is plainly more FUN. It contains so many points of engagement that the digital simply cannot provide. Can you touch an mp3 file? Can you hold it in your hands? Do they even really exist? Why do ebooks did not replace physical paper books even if they contain the exact same text? Because they take away so many aspects that come along with the reading process and make it a much less FUN experience. We are physical creatures with 5 senses. Any digital device engages only with 2. Most often an analog medium involves so much more of our physicality. Digital is the peak of CONVENIENCE. Analog is the peak of EXPERIENCE.

I was a vinyl skeptic for a long time, chalking up its resurgence to little more than Boomer nostalgia. I'm in my late 50s, so I grew up listening to vinyl (and cassettes) and thought the sound was nothing special. When CDs came along, I embraced them (and I still like them and have hundreds of them). What I didn't realize was that I had been listening to vinyl on inferior equipment. I'm convinced that those who poo-poo vinyl haven't heard what a quality pressing played on good equipment can sound like. Coming back to vinyl, as I have over the last couple of years, has been nothing short of revelatory for me. I now have the zeal of a convert. Yes, vinyl has its drawbacks, as pointed out in this video. But it can sound AMAZING.

Honestly, the vinyl process working at all is quite a feat of engineering! I'll keep listening to records as it gives you that authentic connection with the original mastering process, the original era, and in many cases gives you a better sound than CDs, particularly for older releases. Yes, it is quite noisy. Yes, it is quite finnicky. But it's just so very satisfying when it works correctly that all of that seems not to matter in the moment... The physical connection, the little rituals that help build anticipation, and the care required to maintain discs in good condition all give it a dimension that digital audio doesn't seem to have - although CDs can come quite close in that regard!

Not just the artwork but the extra inserts you get as well. Some of the pink floyd albums I have bought have came with posters, post cards and the P.U.L.S.E album comes with a 52 page book. I also agree with the point about digital being to clean, it lacks that authenticity of a hard copy if that makes sense

Thank you for this video, it resonated a lot with me. I've recently got into to vinyl, I've always had some kind of proper hi-fi but CDs rather than a turntable. Does it sound better than CD? Probably not. Does it sound better than Spotify? 100% it does. Also the listening experience is far superior. No screen, just put on the record and sit and listen. Actually listen, follow the instruments, place them in the "room", switch off the rest of your brain. I also really enjoy going back to physically owning musical that is meaningful to me. Vinyl is just the nicest format to collect music that you have an emotional connection too. Its like curating my own museum of my tastes, influences and musical passions over the years.

I started collecting vinyl in the late 60's and of course, turntables were not as good as during the 70's or 80's. I started taking care of them somewhere in 1976 when I bought my first "serious" turntable. My vinyl, bought at that time and later are still playable with minor imperfections , if any. What can be better than to gather in friend's room, waiting to put the latest LP by (put any name here), listening without speaking a word, completely immersed in the sound , looking at the artwork and enjoying every moment until the end of album? Once the LP finished, we shared our experience of music. This is irreplaceable. I stopped collecting vinyl some 30 years ago. CD was the law. And then, last year, I bought a great turntable, bought my first vinyl in decades, and became the listener I was before. These are my intimate moments . Some old records from my teen years , some artists thaI recently discovered or rediscovered. Every moment I spend listening to the music is a pure pleasure. I still buy CDs, but only when I cannot find the same album on vinyl or the LP is extremely expensive. And I have the same passion as , 30, 40 or 50 years ago.

It's pure nostalgia for me ! It was the only format for me in my youth , that and cassette tapes! Why not enjoy all formats ? I can give cassette tapes a miss though !

One more thing. Whilst I can accept pops and crackles and most other vinyl imperfections, the one thing I can’t abide is the ‘off-centre’ press, where the arm moves in and out from the spindle. When I was a lad, I’d take the record back to the shop, only to find that its replacement was exactly the same (obviously, as they’d all been cut off the same run!) Occasionally, even now, new records have this. No excuse, surely, considering today’s prices. Then they sell you it in a paper inner sleeve! Rant over (for now 🙂). ,

Dynamic range. I find myself listening to vinyl rips on KZfaq, of lower quality than what you find on the platform, but the original mastering is so much more pleasant and revealing. So I’ll take a well mastered LP anytime over digital

At this point, the damage is done. Meaning that there is material on vinyl that CD has never gotten around to capturing, and the opposite is certainly true. It’s hard getting around the fact that you need both!

Hello Mark, how are you? vinyl records will never be surpassed, due to their heavy and dense sound. Remastered CDs saturate the sound and the music seems to lack nuances. 0:20 It’s the oddest thing! Digital sounds wonderful, but somehow vinyl just sounds more “real.” My CD copies of vinyl albums always leave me slightly disappointed, they are just missing something I can never put a finger on! It’s good, wonderful even, but doesn’t grab me like the vinyl does! And then there is just the whole playing with gadgets thing!

I feel I was conned into replacing vinyl with CD. I decided about 2017 to reinstate the core of my former vinyl collection (about 1500 albums). Having the ability to play both formats, i have no doubt that vinyl is superior overall. It sounds warmer. You have to understand many critics of vinyl have never heard them played on good equipment. Fortunately I didn't get rid of a top quality system and recently upgraded it. Many of the 180g reissues are superior to the original.

Perhaps I'm not convinced of the superior quality of vinyl compared to cd. I prefer the silence where it is supposed to be silent. Streaming doesn't have my interest. But seeing a turntable in action is great to look at. For the same reason I still use a reel to reel machine. Watching those reels spinning around, the VU-meters dance...That's what I enjoy most. Oh, and, of course, I enjoy the music I'm hearing 😉

I've always prefered the vinyl format and was a cd hold out until the early 90's when records were forced out! I don't like streaming or downloading. That's a really empty feeling. Nothing tangible to hold or look at. I have all my records from my childhood to the present.

well there´s nothing digital about this days all is analog, about new turntables and cartridges , all are extremelly expensive and not like old turntables or cartridges, i´ve bought last december a Rega P10 and kept one from the three cartridges they offer i was happy with it, i have 28 turntables from the 70´s , two from the 80´s and one from the 90´s all are good and even the less good ones with original cartridges and stylus sound better than any new turntable around 1.000€ ,what i noticed is that when playing a record with a diferent type of production or type of sound it sounds very strange while common cartridges from the 70´s and turntables play all with perfection ,so after 6 years ofb listening to new turntables an cartridges i arrive to one conclusion ,Snake oil ,stealing from people showing all the teeth , as an example some 7 monthes ago a friend who owns a music and gear related with music store since the 80´s had a technics very expensive the SL-1000GR that when released technics asked nagaoka because of their relatuion in building cartridges and stylus for technics, they asked afor them to build a cartridge and stylus for the new turntable SL-1000 ,but when seeing videos here on youtube i notice none had the cartridge suplied and some had the 2Mblack L.V.B. version that i bought one to myself for a pioneer turntable i have from the 70´s others installed new AT cartridge MC type thatm i also bought a ART-9 and so on ,in a technics video talking about this turntable they refer to the best turntable i have from technics bought in 1979 the SL-1000MKII saying this was a improvement and i took it to trhe store and we used three sets of good speakers and also three or four amplifiers said to be the best ,modern ones . One night i was there with other 6 friends all curious to listen to the new expensive turntable to resume a general laugh happened to all minus the owner of the store , my old 79 turntable bought it all technics the mc cartridge at the time suplied with a pre-amplifier for MC cartridges but for the cartridge i have and the reference is similar ,we tried diferent records old and new ,can give some examples ,the album soul mining from The The , Animals from Pink Floyd, the crime of the century from supertramp , my budah and chocolate box from cat stevens , Revolver from the Beatles, Temple of the dog , mad season above, rage against the machine first LP , tindersticks first LP ,sorry but we listen to the doble LP compilation released some years ago , also live we listen to some songs from Dream syndicate live at the raji´s and nocturne by Siouxie and the banshes also the Lp from Black mountain ,the second one and the live but in studio that was supposed to be the o.s.t. from a movie ,then miles davis first solo LP and bitches brew, john coltraine love supreme and blue train, ella fitzgerald ,cole porter songbook , Billie holiday a compilation from the 80´sand a album from Calexico 1st one and also from Blue pills don´t remenber the name of the LP and woman king from iron & wine and only me and the store owner would change amplifiers and speakers that we previouslly wriite which combinations we were going to try and our friends just seated on a chair with all speakers in the left and right side of the room and they would writte from each lp which sounded best by number of hearing , the funny thing it happen was that all choose the SL-1000MKII from 79 no matter what record or what combination of amplifier or speakers not one choose the new SL-1000GR ,that´s why we all laughed a lot ,cd the old digital format wen didn´t try any because with good equipment the better the equipment his the less good cds sound, speakers twom of them were the most recent top end model of B&W also some new JBL that i don´t remenber the model now but they costed almost 35.000€ to the owner of the store also tried the new mission and the wharfedale linton looking like old speakers and then some more but i can´t remenber all now, so again i´m sure that new turntables not only look totally diferent mainly the cartridges and stylus but not as good as the 70´s ones but all sound good we are talking of very expensive material ,even i thought that the new technics being from technics and expensive as mine was in 79 would make some records sound better but no no one choose it

i forget to say that i don´t see any bands played by humanoids or AI , and people still prefer having sons that a robot and while the world turns in this terms analog will be more advanced than digital as even digital recordings only can be heard when converted to Analog so no reality about the digiital world and i´ve got nothing against digital ,in my fathers home studio in late 70´s we had already some very handy digital tools but recorded always in analog ,don´t know if anyone here had a spectrum 48K for gaming or a Commodore Amiga ,remenber the games charging and the noises heard that digital sound for you and one being human can listen to that noise PI...PIPIPIPI..PIIIIIIIIIIIIUIIIIIIIIII...PI, and say this guys in the 60´s sounded good ,paul is still kicking AND MR. soundwise I find vinyl vastly superior to digital. In theory digital is superior, CD is superior and even Minidisc should be superior to vinyl... but practice is different than theory and in the real world vinyl trounces any digital medium in naturality and sq.

nobody owns any music, you buy an artefact on which to listen inside the comfort if your own home but you do not have a licence to publicly display it.

why?because it´s smart ,no digital format available, well let´s say only cds sound bad as in wrong levels guitars not sounding like guitars or even all in sound is less good in digital unless a hiden millionaire studio where all is digital but even then i prefer the better and superior evolution of analog which we are and listen always analog no matter if converted from digital to analog ,let´s cut the midle man and hear it in analog like all in life is like saying that electric cars are better when they are very bad unless a porshe that came out before 2010 or a new expensive car that a regular family can´t afford it, and it´s weird digital and analog ,i was one of those stupid persons whio bought that nakamichi 100% digital system in the 90´s but it didn´t survive had to get out of the boxes my 76 system from Pioneer that was working and still is ,only restaured the speakers two sets of hpm-150 the electric parts inside aren´t made to resist 50 years of use, all the other components are ok so, digital went to storage room, but i have digital formats not a fundamentalist i only like music no matter the format if good sounding
