So grateful for your video! Had egg retrieval Monday and still feeling some discomfort. I was starting to think I was completely abnormal and started freaking out. Good to know that it is normal to not feel 100% less than a week later.

I had mine this morning. Personally I’m in a fair amount of pain/ discomfort when moving around or laying on my side. But then I have severe PCOS. I definitely feel the sharp feelings when I stand and my abdomen feels like it’s got a balloon stuck inside it. There’s also a faint burning sensation which is familiar to me as a little bit of blood in the abdomen. (I had a haemorrhage internally a few years back) This is manageable for me with painkillers and a hot water bottle and bed rest in worst case scenario and it seems some women just have a few cramps and light spotting. Good luck ladies. I wish you all the best and sending sticky thoughts for your embryos xxx

Hi.. I just had egg retrieval yesterday.. and yes I felt so bloated afterwards... More bloated than when the egg still in me.🥺... I also feel super swollen. I think I gained 5 lbs in a day 😖... Hope this feeling will go away soon. 🥴

I had my egg retrieval yesterday and I feel so bloated and swollen. I also have a lot of pain. I have my transfer on Tuesday but I am scare of this pain, is it normal ?

My egg retrieval was today. I was so nervous\excited, I did not feel anything, it was pretty good. I am in pain right now (nothing crazy but uncomfortable). We are doing frozen transfer so nervous about the next steps. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely agree. Totally recommend in having a general instead of the local. And it is hard on the body. I rather give my body some time to heal and relax before the ivf. That was my second egg retrieval. 🥚 First egg retrieval I did not enjoy as much, but both still felt bloated and constipated. So recommend drinking plenty of water, coffee and eating high fibers.

Thabks for sharing had my egg retrieval on Wednesday still swollen bloated this makes me feel better that it’s normal hard to sleep at night but it’ll all be worth it doing s frozen transfer letting my body heal first

I had my eggs retrieved yesterday, and I'm here because I'm bloated and swollen, how do I recover?. During the procedure I was awake and I felt all the pain because my body didn't respond to anesthesia. 😭 it hurt so much. My transfer is on Thursday, I just hope its not as painful.

My egg retrieval was just 2 days ago and Im still feeling super bloated. I want to drink a lot of fluids but it feels so uncomfortable like my tummy feels getting stiff or what. How did you cope from it?

Drink lots of coconut water, and Redmond Re-Lyte! Seriously so good for recovery. You need those electrolytes. The bloating will go down soon, hang in there!

I just had mine done. I was told to not drink ALOT of fluid because it makes you feel more bloated . So I drank a little. Had a lot of cramps but not as much boosting

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Our clinic works with fresh transfers too. They are sure, this way 5day fresh blasts are more developed and ready to get stuck in the womb. Where are you passing IVF? If it's ok to ask. We signed for 5shots 'guaranteed' package some time ago. Not meaning they guarantee you a baby. But in case it's failure after 5 shots in a row and you don't want to proceed with them - They refund money back. This did sound encouraging to my ear..

I had also egg retrieval two weeks ago and now I’m having my period already for 5 days. I’m still bleeding and discomfort in my abdomen. It’s really feel different as I normally have period every month. It’s really cramping until now. I suppose to go to the gym to start my normal routine month ago . But I decided to stay home .😔

I just had mine today, the procedure was not painful but before the procedure I felt crazy pain in my abdomen and both left and right side. It was too scary. Luckily after the pick up I felt good and only light pain in my abdomen.

Typically you’ll need one to two weeks of ovarian stimulation before your eggs are ready for retrieval. To determine when the eggs are ready for collection, your doctor will likely perform: Vaginal ultrasound. It’s an imaging exam of your ovaries to monitor the development of follicles - fluid-filled ovarian sacs where eggs mature. Then blood tests to measure your response to ovarian stimulation medications. Estrogen levels typically increase as follicles develop and progesterone levels remain low until after ovulation. Sometimes IVF cycles need to be canceled before egg retrieval for one of these reasons: Inadequate number of follicles developing. Premature ovulation. Too many follicles developing, creating a risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Other medical issues. If your cycle is canceled, your doctor might recommend changing medications or their doses to promote a better response during future ER. At our new BTC clinic this happened to me twice. But things turned out to be for better. The less unnecessary invasion, the less stress your body faces. You save energy for the upcoming cycles. PS. We're on the other side of the fence now. May everyone's luck be behind the corner.

My doctor here in Egypt will try both fresh and frozen and says for me to be on bed rest a whole week after the process so the egg doesn't get disturbed.

Thanks for the video. I had my eggs retrieval on last Saturday. Have been feeling bloated and painful in my belly. How long does it take for the pain to go away? No doubt I gained weight, too scared to stand on the scale to find out how many pounds exactly 😖

I had my egg retrieval yesterday, and the recovery has been so painful. It need my husband to help me get on and off the couch and our bed, painful stomach muscle spasm, nausea when I eat. Not fun!

@@pinkpeach2397 I went in for an ultrasound and bloodwork today. Apparently, I have a 9 cm cyst and a blood clot on the left ovary, a few 2-3 cm cysts on the right. That’s what’s been causing so much pain.

Congrats on your soon to be here baby girl! 💗 I am planning on doing my egg retrieval in July. I was wondering if you had any bleeding after? I am assuming yes but was just curious. My husband and I are doing our IVF out of state and I just want to be as prepared as possible with needed supplies 😁

@@dianamadinei it's not fat. It's a collection of eggs. You will loose the egg weight two weeks from then which should be when you get your cycle. But it's soooo painful

I had my egg collection this week, they could see 54 follicles , retrieved 30 eggs, I’m feeling bloated and ( possibly tmi) constipated , but other than that … at this moment in time- I feel ok! My husband wasn’t allowed in due to covid :( but otherwise all went well . I’m 3 days from egg collection day at the moment

They didn’t allow your husband in even though they need to provide a sample and drive you home after? I just had my retrieval yesterday and luckily my husband was allowed in.

Wow congrats on your egg number!!! I got a measly 7 out of 13 poor girls retrieved. Wish I had your ovarian reserve!
