In today’s Copycat Wednesday, I’m going to show you how to recreate the lightning from the running scenes in the Flash TV show.

I used to have so many more "Shapes" in the shapes on the Options Bar when I clicked on the Custom Shape tool in the tools panel. Now All I have is leaf trees, boats, wild animals and flowers. How can I get back all the ones I used to have like sun, heart, hand, music notes, etc. and how can I create and add my own to those. Would love to see a tutorial on that. Also I have licensed some images from Adobe stock but don't understand how to use them. They showed as having transparencies but the transparencies show and print. Thanks for all the great tutorials that you have done. I have learned so much from you.

I have tried making the lightning as you have shown (Gradient, Difference Clouds and Levels), but, where you get a nice line of lightning, i get a jumble of shapes. Where am i going wrong?

Jesus, I love your tutorials. You may know the fix for this or someone on your forum here, but I cannot drag and drop images onto new tabs on my Mac. I googled why this is so and came up with nothing that worked...is there a setting I do not have right. I followed along on this tutorial but had to place the background behind Flash toy jpg. Resizing the image even if it's a contraction without it being a smart object won't make it lose its quality? I always convert to smart object as soon as I drag and drop any picture.

I always place embedded, I dont know why I like it, it automatically converts to smart and you can resize easily

Hey Jesus, do you know why Photoshop changed the free transform tool so that it defaults to scaling proportionately and shift makes it disproportionate? It still messes me up even after a year or however long it's been and it's now the opposite of other applications like Illustrator and InDesign. Heck, it's even opposite of Photoshops crop tool. What are the chances of them switching it back?
