In this video I break down the process of recreating physical props in Blender so they can be used for digital production design, and the whole process only takes 10 minutes. I'm really excited about the possibilities of this for indie filmmakers.

Just find out about you these days, I hope you don't give up on your channel, it's by far one of the best channels about filmmaking and 3D. I'm already a huge fan! I have a doubt by the way, how did you replace the wallpaper in the film you've worked in? I'm very curious about the workflow

Humble talent, wish you a very long VFX career, great use case. I think invisible fx has gret value, any other ideas for film other than from digital set extention and props? what would you say was the most requested FX while shooting.

Thank you so much! On set for that film, there was a lot of questions about copyright stuff, as we were shooting a lot in shops and bars and production didn’t want to have to clear all the brands, so we discussed replacing them digitally or painting them out all together. It never materialised as a job that needed to be done though. Mostly I would say that VFX was used to add character to shots. We frequently added dirt and grime to clean surfaces, or graffiti to blank walls-things like that. You would never know it was VFX. Just the way I like it!

@@BenMoranFilms Super interesting, thank you for sharing, so i guess its really ''adding'' an effect rather than creating it, in order to amplify the set without changing the production plan. Practical.

Hi Ben! Really enjoying your content! I wanted to ask you about your lighting setup, cause it's really good! =) Did you use only that sphere diffuse thingie or is there something else you use? I see a nice greenish fill on the opposite side of your face - is that just a color grading?

Hi Alan, thanks for watching! I'm surprised by how nice the lighting is sometimes, because I don't actually have a setup. The china ball behind me is just the light in the room that gives that nice warm wash, and then it's my monitor that fills in the shadow side of my face, and then yes, I do tint a little green to get that final look. The china ball is in reality emitting a more magenta light, and the monitor light is pale blue, but I like the effect of pushing green into it.

@@BenMoranFilms Got it! Thanks! It's remarkable how good it turned out to be, i could instantly tell that you're a filmmaker compared to a lot of 3d channels that are only about blender ;)
