Digitally Recreating a Real Set in Blender

Күн бұрынA step by step tutorial to motion track live action footage and recreate a set digitally. In this case, I was able to recreate the walls of our actual location and place digital wallpaper over the existing white walls. This will also allow me to easily add virtual props: things like paintings and framed photos, but the same principles could apply for adding set extensions or any number of things.

Nicely done! I'm still fairly new to Blender and am trying to learn just enough to open up new possibilities like this for my filmmaking! Love the idea of upping the production value with Blender. I think shots like these are so great and could be really effective because the audience has no reason to even think that parts of this shot are CG.

That’s exactly my thinking! My excitement about a given effect is directly tied to how unlikely the audience is to notice that it’s an effect. Ideally, nobody should ever know I worked on the film at all!
