Id like to see a recreation of the planet gravity in the super Mario galaxy games, I haven't seen anyone else recreate it and its kinda sad since I think its one of the most fascinating physics mechanics in any game.

It was one day of development and one day for visual and animation polish! If I was making it to implement it in a full game it would probably take longer to make a more organized and complex system! Thanks for your feedback btw!!

@@mixandjam I think hearing in each video how long each took to make would be a good idea, to give people an idea of how much effort goes into it for someone who is experienced.

Hi, this tutorial is very nice, but at about 3:01 is when I get lost. My problem being when i place 4 characters, as shown in the video, it only spawns one when I run the project. I have checked over all my code, and it isn't working.

I followed your tutorial and did the same things you did (except graphic raycaster where I put InParent instead). However, the result is not as expected to be in 4:40. The character name just deletes, the artwork doesn't change and there's also an error on console telling that I must select a character. If I manually select a character on the inspector, the cursor now works but only woth the print name). Any ideas?

I would love to see this taken one step further. Tie the character selection screen to a 3D character in another scene even if its just selecting the humanoid robot character you use in your other tutorials with different shaders on them based on the selection..

i don't know why but i'm using unity 2019.4.10f1 and the list just doesn't work, it says that there's something wrong in the line: public List characters = new List(); and with: artwork.sprite = character.characterSprite; name.text = character.characterName; too.. minute 2:15

I followed what you did exactly at 3:57 but when my mouse is over the character cell it doesn't print their name. I added graphicraycaster component to the canvas and the cursor. The cursor is not in the grid but is directly under the canvas.

Ok, just tried it out. I think the screenshot is missing a key adjustment and that migth've confused the understanding. The code needs to make a reference to the GraphicRaycaster located in the Canvas, and not the cursor! In the final code it actually says getcomponentIN PARENT!! Hopefully that helps!
