AMS2's F-Classic Gen4 is one of my favorite classes in the game. It has been part of the game from the get-go and excels in showing the rich diversity of cars and concepts of F1 back in the day. For maximum authenticity, the F1 1991 Season Mod from IMG is a must-install.
One of the best curated mods for AMS2, the latest update to version 2.0 feature a lot of addtions, tweaks, fixes and changes for even more authenticity. The secret star is the XML selector, which allows you to pick from one of 12 different authentic scenarios. One of these is the Spanish GP, which in 1991 was held for the first time on the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona.
And what a great race that was! Apart from winner Nigel Mansell's awesome drive, the 1991 Spanish GP was also Michael Schumacher's first race for Benetton. And the young German impressed the world with a mature performance in these difficult conditions, scoring his first world championship point in 6th place and lapping his team-mate, three-time world champion Nelson Piquet!
What a great setup for a recreation of this legendary GP in AMS2!
