15:55 - - I had one of the Olympic swimmer Barbies!! You wound her up so she could swim in your bathtub or pool. So cool!! The 2006 Ballerina Barbies were great too. One of my sisters had it (not sure if it was that year specifically though), and it came with pointe shoes, so you could easily spin your doll.

Im actually super surprised that they came out with an African-American Barbie doll (Christie) back in 1968/1969. Thats really cool. Also your sims looked great, great video as usual!

I grew up in the 2000’s and I didn’t recognize any of those barbie dolls lol. I remember pregnant midge , the Scooby doo movie dolls, there was like a pet store/vet Barbie I had, and of course the barbie movies dolls

that blue eyeshadow really did stick around for years. i stopped playing with barbies around 2008 and all the ones i remember had blue or maybe purplish eyeshadow

I genuinely appreciate the stubbornness! I’m the same way when I’m trying to recreate something, I will go to the ends of the earth to find the closest match. I dunno what CC creators have against natural-looking brown and blonde shades of hair, but I feel bad complaining about free CC lol. I just wish there weren’t so many cute hairs only available in pastel colors 😭

Omg I just had an idea that I’m pretty sure only Syd could do…. EVERY ROOM IS A DIFFERENT VAN GOGH PAINTING! Im pretty sure there’s even a few Van Gogh double beds in base game! (Or every room is a different famous painting and then you could do like Van Gogh, Piet Mondrian, Picasso, Johannes Vermeer, etc. and make a really cool home)

This was such a fun video! I love how much detail you added to each different Barbie face. Being born in '92, I'm obviously picking Totally Hair Barbie, although the queen with vitiligo is such a moment! When I was a kid, my sister and I had the Deluxe Dream House and my absolute favorite Barbie I had was Bead Blast Barbie from '97! I never let my sister play with that one because I knew she would lose all of my beads! Fabulous content as always!

8:44 I had a second hand,1984 Barbie. I remember not knowing how to style the dress thing. It was just a weird piece of material. The sequin top was not with the skirt wrap thing.

Not going to lie, the first hair Syd downloaded for Totally Hair Barbie reminded me of those dress up game ads where the main character stinks and her hair is super long and she’s covered in mud. 😂😂 I’m so glad she didn’t use that one!

Barbies body really isn't that unrealistic though tbh. Like her waist is definitely tiny, but I look like that in shapewear. She was released as a "teen model" character so she has a model-esque body. It's certainly more exaggerated sometimes, and those times it does become unrealistic. But in general most of them are just a tall slim fit build

Fun facts about some of the ‘favourites of each year’ outfits that might not be obvious with just the photos The day-to-night outfit was a suit like you see in the photo that could reveal/transform into a gown And the color magic barbie’s hair (and I think clothes?) would change color with warm water
