TWICE UPON A TIME:
The magical final chapter of the Twelfth Doctor’s (Peter Capaldi) journey sees the Time Lord team up with his former self, the first ever Doctor (David Bradley) and a returning Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie), for one last adventure.
Two Doctors stranded in an Arctic snowscape, refusing to face regeneration. Enchanted glass people, stealing their victims from frozen time. And a World War One captain destined to die on the battlefield, but taken from the trenches to play his part in the Doctor's story.

Twice Upon A Time is written by Steven Moffat, directed by Rachel Talalay, and executive produced by Brian Minchin. Yet ANOTHER reason why Pearl should've had at least one more season with Peter; she is definitely the better companion of his. I have nothing against Jenna Coleman - I love her, just not Clara! How I wish that Steven had made it so that the Victorian Clara had travelled with the Doctor.

This TARDIS is in my top three TARDIS interiors. The beautiful and clinical design of it. The simplicity and yet at the same time complexity of the console. Before it got overfilled with all of the buttons but you still feel that even though there are less buttons. You still wouldn't have a clue of what you were doing and that is the beauty of that TARDIS Interior. It is such a simple design but yet you can feel the complexity.

Benjamin Meijer I would have to say that my two other favourites are The 11th Doctors first TARDIS. The design was just so beautiful to me and the Eight Doctors TARDIS design.

Funny thing is that the newly eleventh doctor spends most of the episode in "The Eleventh Hour" wearing the tattered remains of his previous incarnation also wearing the sandshoes

Personally I don’t really like it, it feels too empty. Which is probably due to their budget restrictions when first making it. It doesn’t feel empty because it was supposed to be empty, it feels empty because they couldn’t afford to add more. It feels like there was supposed to be more.

In the past, I have had people point out that fans might forget about the Classic era as New Who keeps growing, but with episodes like this, Moffat has made sure that people are reminded of the full legacy of the show and the character. And I love how they've brought back the original interior not just in this episode, but in ones like Hell Bent and The Timeless Children (granted, not the greatest stories) or basicly whenever the Doctor steals a spare TARDIS from Gallifrey. I can't help but smile whenever I see that original interior.

I can’t even remember most of new who, nevermind classic who. I’ve watched ever episode of Doctor who, the Matt Smith ones I watched multiple times, but most I’ve completely forgotten. I had forgotten about this episode until I saw a clip of it the other day and then I searched up the Wikipedia article and I was surprised to learn this was Capaldi’s last episode. I has watched this episode but I had forgotten the vast majority of what happened in it and I couldn’t even remember Capaldi regenerated in it. To be honest, I can’t even remember what episode Jodie regenerated in and I just watched that last year. I was surprised yesterday when I read about Donna and re learnt what happened with her at the end of her run. I watched all the episodes with her many years ago but I had literally no idea what happened in any of them. I can’t even remember one episode she was one. I want to rewatch it all because I have completely forgotten what happens in most episodes so it would be like watching it for the first time again but I can’t find anywhere where I can watch all the episodes. I can only find the most recent episodes with Jodie. I would pirate them, but I don’t even know where to do that.

Despite not being a huge fan of Moffat’s run and his episodes he really did himself well with Twice Upon A Time and having the 1st Doctor in it and the TARDIS

Except that he goofed about the Space Time Visualizer being recreated. The item they focused on when he said that was actually the TARDIS Astral Map. I saw no signs of the Visualizer, and it would be hard to miss as it was a very large, five foot wide, disc shaped device with a screen in the center. But otherwise he was spot on.

I wish they'd kept the console green for this, I know it was only painted like that so it would look good on black and white screens but it just feels a bit more warm and cozy than the sterile white colours.

Can't dash in and out of them like you can the police box doors. Also, now that the doors are police box doors on the inside, you get the sense that the tardis likes the outer shape, and reflects it on the inside.

Skully the Skull Yeah I know but even if Moffatt stayed an extra season or Chibnall spent his first year with these two! Or they made an alternate series 10 with more adventures that happened between the epsiodes we saw (basically adding on to series 10). I know none of this will happen, but I'd give a right leg for even the smallest chance it would. Ok, not literally. But it would be really cool!

Tom Presto From what we know Peter was offered another year under Chibnall's run. He decided to depart after his third season as per usual. Pearl didn't have a choice. Maybe if Peter decided to stay she could have too.

I read a fan theory that the appearance of the hexagonal things (from publicity shots) were going to tie into the Curator from The Day of the Doctor or maybe at least return to that set. I don't know if that would have been a good idea but I was definitely intrigued by it.

If I did it, i would havethe rectangle l light strips similar to the 'Hell Bent' TARDIS instead of the hexagonal circles but I wouldve added the wallpaper ontop of that to show that the Doctor basically covered up that wall just to have more roundals on the wall even if it was just a wallpaper.

THIS is what I love about this show. They are able to recreate history by bringing old sets back. And this one just looks like you're back in the 60's. And it's all thanks to the fans, who made sure these props were kept in proper shape.

I agree with Pearl, they should have kept this, its much nicer and more inviting than any of the NuWho ones (in my opinion that is, free free to disagree) though the Toyota (the current one) can look quite nice sometimes, especially the blue version.

Toyota? Why do you call it that? But yeah, I agree with Pearl, and the First Doctor, to an extent. It's brighter, much more inviting. Sure, the newer series' one is atmospheric, but the older one does look so much nicer.

Apparently the designer for the 2013 interior gave it the nickname "Toyota", so in the TARDIS community it is called the Toyota interior.

9 and 10's was a decent design, but didn't resemble a workable living space at all. 11's first one was too whimsical and mismatched in design 11 and 12's is perfect.

Pearl Mackie's absolutely right that the original Tardis interior design is better than the current 'Hollywood High-Teck' version, the concept of which I think originates from the McGann American mini-movie, made if I recall correctly after Michael Grade ditched Dr Who at the BBC. The original had more of a functional yet unearthly feel.

I know some people wouldnt like it, but i'd like to see an episode that reveals a "default" Tardis. Like it had been rebooted and was just hanging in space in its full size and weight and everything. No customizations.. just what one off the "showroom floor" would look like. Its never been done but theres enough material from the fandom yo do it justice i think.

I so loved the original series. The science they spoke of was realistic and plausible - right up through the Tom Baker series. I would like to see remakes of the Classics!

The reason the original interior ended up as only two walls and the console is because it had to be assembled each time it was used - there was no permanent stage for *Doctor Who* in the classic run and so it had to share studio space with all the other BBC shows.

I was at the Dr Who Experience in August, and Hartnell's console was absent "being used for filming".... makes one wonder doesn't it....

My favorite TARDIS was the Doctor who movie. It was so very like a home and gave us a more detailed picture of what the interior of a TARDIS would have to be. And NO Moffat to screw it up.

Jodie Whittaker’s TARDIS needs to be like that (white with the original “round things”) but with a slightly modern series vibe thrown into it! Edit: LOL. I now know it didn’t end up like that. I wrote that comment before Thirteen’s Tardis was even revealed. 😂

From what I've heard, the original TARDIS was painted that colour because in black and white it showed up as more white than white did, so it was actually intended to be white in universe which is probably why they made the recreation white

Wish the wall could blend in rather than being reminiscent of the panels in the National Gallery in DOTD but they don't take away any of the magic of being in the original tardis! 😊
