This is the 7th mission of the Allied YR Campaign, Brain Dead.
The last Allied Mission contains everything you need to make it more enjoyable. You start with a Soviet Base, you get an Allied Base and you can capture Yuri's Base. Yuri has a quite large base so you can mess around even more. Not a hard mission but a few things need to be done quickly.
All missions are played on Hard difficulty.

In Red Alert defense commander needed resources where he was battling with Yuri, but than again the resources gives you credit not metal you would need to build your forces.

They couldn't send a MCV, how would they send a shipment of ore? But it would make sense if they sent a bunch of credits along with the MCV. Like, 50k. Maybe 100k.

I remember playing this, and I’m pretty sure it was on Hard but it might not have been. Yuri will only use his superweapons on ground units, which meant that as long as I didn’t have any tanks, infantry, etc. I wouldn’t get blasted by the psychic dominator. I ended up building an allied MCV as fast as possible from the Soviet base, then just abandoned my chrono-ed base and just spammed kirovs and robot tanks. Didn’t have to worry about rebuilding at all

Its not hard to defend on the chrono-ed base. just have a soviet battle bunker ready to be deployed with a soviet barracks and boom you only need to worry about magnotron

If you look closely you can see that the multiple segments of Yuri's base all have different shades of purple, which can mean you are playing against multiple ai players at once here.

Since Yuri does not use superweapon until we build a radar, I would build a lot of Soviet MCV and war factories before a radar. Then once Allied MCV arrives, my base pops up really fast it is hilarious.

I usually limit myself to 2 more extra MCV just so I could pop out the Industrial and Nuclear reactor before the Allied units can deploy a base.

The lieutenant didn't fail us. He just made Yuri got overconfident and lost in the process. Also poor Yuri, he didn't get dessert that night xD I always brought my MCV with the first Chronosphere to destroy Psychic Dominator alongside Prism Tanks, much easier to defend them with base defenses.

For this mission I always made groups of 9 crazy Ivan IFV demolition cars and chronosphered them in to take out the super weapons.

You know there is trick to get Chrono Commando and Chrono Ivan. Build base in the island after you exhausted the gems, make sure to have both battle lab built. recruit Spy and Engineer and place Engineer bunched up in the island. If there's not any else your unit bunched up in map, Yuri will Dominate the Engineers and let it capture your base. and then you can infiltrate using Spy and get both OP unit. You can also get veterancy with it if you build barracks and war factory.

The glitch I think was patched in YR. As for what I do, I chrono a Nighthawk with Spies and then Iron Curtain upon arriving so it can escape after dumping the spies. As for the Superweapons, I chrono some Ivan IFVs after I hit it with a Nuke Missile. After that, I establish a foothold where the Dominator once stood, complete with an mcv.

@@joshuagabrielcatindig7607 The exploit you speak of involved an engineer, spy and the building owned by the same player and waypoints. That indeed has been patched. But AI MC-ing engineers to capture your own buildings then infiltrating them with your own spies while still owned by the enemy is more of an unintended consequence of a combination of features that are all intentional and not a bug.

11:18 Actually, I think there was a gimmick with Yuri‘s AI for this mission. If I can recall correctly, Yuri will target the shipyard and/or naval units first with the Psychic Dominator.

I can attest to this working well, paired with GIs in Bunkers and Prism Towers to mow anything that escapes the long and slow shots of the GCs.

Did exactly that so my troops are stronger. I Sphered in a Nighthawk with a pair of Spies. After arriving, I use the Iron Curtain before I unload. This ensures the copter's survival. Be sure to chrono in when no Clones are nearby, those can detect Spies and thus crash your op.

I love this game, but as the science and science fiction nerd i am i have to say, that the end shouldn't be happening like this. When they traveled back in time before Yuri activated his Psychic Dominators they should've created a new timeline and the two timestrangs shouldn't merge^^

took me a long time to get the upper map cleaned up from trees with tanks and use the space to make many factories so i can build fast the siege choppers, once the radar dish was done, i can build the soviet academy and build about 30 choppers , then fastly go and take out that psy. dominator before it can be used ... after that another 6-9 hour long play to prepare with all 3 techs [captured yuri c.y.] keep a few psy towers and send my own units to let them be captured so i can gain exp by killing them ... in the end i was 100% ready with all techs ... of course i had to wait to get about 50k cash needed for them choppers ... before i can build the radar dish :) afteral it was a long nice play :)

3:54 Gatling Tank range is too good imo. It should be the same range as garrisoned structures. Or it will lose HP the longer it fires. 11:20 Huh, I guess Yuri is owned by himself. 23:14 oops XD Me playing this mission: at first, use three rounds of nuke/storm to take off dominator, then prism goes brrrr…. Then, add YR ConYard and build psychic detector to build three SW to kill off dominator. Now, I watch tg playing the mission while enjoying his play-style.

Damn, I've learned a few things watching this again. Apparently, making a foothold where the Bio Reactors are is much better than where the Dominator is/was. And you made capturing his vanguard's Yard relevant lol. That Conscript spam BM at the end tho hahahaha Tho...nothing beats doing this yourself. I've discovered that a Nuke Strike followed by 2-4 Ivan IFVs CS'd in decimates the superweapons. Better still if you got at least one Ivan to plant bombs on top of the Ivan IFVs.

I always send legionaries to the right bottom of the map to deal with the dominator. It's a bit faster than waiting for the chronosphere

They do that when the target is too far above the dreadnought. It's also apparent when attacking statues Yuri's island with dreadnoughts.

That's right, Yuri could mastermind the entire Third World War, yet he couldn't figure out how to properly defend his Psychic Dominator. And now he is stuck in a chair inside a tin can for the rest of his life. Poor guy. Well, off to the next campaign, it's time to watch him get eaten by dinosaur... This mission somehow managed to be even easier than the last Allied mission from the base game, though I guess it should be expected when you get 2 different faction MCVs just like that. You have to give it to the AI, it sure does infuriate you sometimes, but it still presents almost no threat. Heck, this mission was easier then the second one in LA, at least there was some pressure there. The Soviet campaign is somewhat better in my opinion, not because of the difficulty but because we get to invade an island and go to the moon...

Yes sir, it is over. The 7th and 5th fleets further down have flattened Yuri's large naval base at the Ronne Ice Shelf. The rest of the major outpost in this frozen wasteland have been mopped up. Our men are gathering the prisoners, and are rounding up the stragglers. The day is won, sir. Victory, is ours.

I always put 2 bunkers on either side just outside the wall- much better at defending, and eject and re-garrison the troops occasionally so they get their promotions.

me doing this mission for the 1st time: wtf ... whyyyy?? 2nd time: aha! never build that radar dish before growing to max 3rd time: [like 13 hours ingame still won't build that dish ... just gotta clean up the entire part of the north side of the map, clean every tree, build as many units as possible ... let yuri use his superweapons on them meanwhile trying to build fast the tech for the allied side with that mobile c.c. and then even trying to capture that yuri c.c.]

@@tsiripas Load game and try, some speedrunner did this because it gives a lot of money and troops, Just don't try to build anything or capture oil derrick and you'll get new troops I think. Don't know if it works on hard or not.

Came up with this strategy recently: Wait with building the radar until you established sea dominance over the explorable map. Build radar + soviet lab. Build Dreadnoughts and Siege Choppers. Dreadnoughts take out the genetic mutator plus Yuris air defense at the very right edge of the coast. Then the Siege Chopper can fly all the way down to the genetic mutator and take it out. Teleported forces are basically not needed. Also there is this glitch in this map where Dreadnought rockets can reach targets way out of the ordinary limit. Just love this game

I wonder what happens if you wall of ALL shorelines. Yuris amphibious transports can't destroy walls, would walling off all shorelines mean that you're completely safe from these annoying amphibious attacks? Would they idle next to the walls, waiting to get destroyed?
