In regards to elite giant squid, I remember reading that they were supposed to get a new attack that would allow them to grab and kill aircraft, this behavior might be a leftover after they cut the new "weapon" unlocked after gaining elite but forgot to adjust their AI. I can't find where I read that from though.

The coast guard boat seems a different model from the destroyer if you look really closely. Differences on the front cannon, side door and back of the command cabin, as far as I see.

Hmmf, Dogs cant be mind controlled but dolphins can. But i guess nobody saw this combination from the dev team.

My fav naval bug is the aegis launcher having a more powerful attack when you target fire rather than have them idle.

Aircraft Carriers in RA3 are kinda simillar then. When they are zapped by terror drone,, their jets also crash-land.

Hooray! I thought you'd mention the Coast Guard Boats :) I always thought they were just a slightly different Destroyer model. Maybe they were an earlier model that the devs recycled for it? According to a comment, they have a different armour value which makes sense... they're not heavily armoured warships, it's the Coast Guard. No one's gonna put too much money on those guys :D And it also makes sense they'd be able to take on more torpedoes; they probably built them out of painted wood so it's a lot harder to sink when struck below the waterline. Would be neat if they had the classic RA1 Depth Charges or something. It just seems a bit odd for the Coast Guard boats to be issued with the same ASW Osprey as the Navy... 4:10 You can also use the Destroyers cannon (target next to the sub after the Osprey has taken off) or Dolphins to surface the submarine and thus turn those Hornets in ASW planes :) 4:35 I can see a new meta already; forget waiting for the Hornets to return to base, Magnetron the Carrier and the Hornets are replenished. Does it also do the same for the Destroyer's Osprey and the Dreadnaught's/Boomer's missiles? 5:45 That turn speed though... he put too many points into Speed and Acceleration but nothing into Handling :D

Boomer's deal 60 damage per projectile, Typhoon's 100. 1:50 & 2:42 According to the RA2 and YR rules, the only difference between Coast Guard and Allied Destroyer is that Allied Destroyer is heavily armored, Coast Guard only lightly armored, though both have same HP. However torpedoes' warhead just does less damage against light targets than heavy ones. Light units only get 75% damage, heavy and medium targets the full 100% damage.

One Trick. which is Really Hard to do Aircraft-Carrier unit itself. can get Veterancy from Naval Crates. its Elite purpose. is that it can only self-heal.

Hey man Today i noticed something funny. Tanya Was running away from a terror drone into a body of water. But when she entered the water the terror drone Was already close enough to attack. It jumped after tanya into the water, killed her and sunk. Maybe it works with dogs too 🤔

It looks like its the other way around for the Sub tip - the Boomer had 1 torpedo that was hitting the land and exploding, the Sub had both torpedos hitting the target. The Boomers target had less than half health when the Subs target was destroyed.

what's fascinating about the fact in 4:58 is that the aircraft carrier' planes are instantly refilled the moment the magnetron drops it, there's no recharge time and all.

hmm, Coast Guard Boats actually have the same amount of health as destroyers, but are made out of light armor instead of heavy. for some reason the torpedoes from typhoon subs (but not from boomers) have 75% damage to light armor and 100% to heavy.

the boomer torpedos are weaker but it helps if half of them aren't hitting the shore and not even dealing damage

Idk if it's veen covered - I used Yuri Prine to capture a Soviet Naval Yard while it was repairing a Dreadnought, and the Dreadnought was captured as well. It didn't have the mind-control circle/statud. This could be true for all other repair buildings and even the neutral one, but I didn't have the opportunity to do that yet..
