The Blue Jay and Northern Cardinal are two of the most recognizable common feeder birds of eastern North America. Watch them share time at the Cornell Lab FeederWatch Cam. Tufted Titmice, Black-capped Chickadees, and more visit as well.

This FeederWatch cam is located in the Treman Bird Feeding Garden at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in Ithaca, New York. Perched on the edge of both Sapsucker Woods and its 10-acre pond, these feeders attract both forest species like chickadees and woodpeckers as well as some species that prefer open environments near water like Red-winged Blackbirds.
The Wild Birds Unlimited store at Sapsucker Woods has been a part of the visitor experience in the Cornell Lab’s Visitor Center ever since the new building opened in 2003. They are the preferred vendor of official Cornell Lab merchandise and offer a dizzying number of feeders, binoculars, and birdwatching-related gear and gifts to make any bird enthusiast happy. WBU has also pledged support for many of the Cornell Lab’s local efforts, including providing the bird feeders and food for this FeederWatch Cam.
The FeederWatch cam hardware includes an Axis P1448-LE camera with an an ETS ML1-WPW microphone.

As a longtime "birder" who feeds birds and provides a birdbath, may I say that I LOVE the older woman who puts food out in the morning. She talks to the birds just like I do, and you can tell that she really loves her job and the birds. I hear her coming out saying, "Hi kids. Here we go. I see you, I hear you," etc. She imitates the black-capped chickadee's vocalization back to it (they're never far away and will sometimes come in when a person is there). She also waves hello to the camera/viewers. A neighbor asked me one time if I was talking to the birds. Indeed, I was! Outside, I call these two Fiery Red and Blue. The young man who was out today (January 9th) is very good at his job, and I always wonder who they are (staff, students, interns, volunteers?).

And Do ALL BIRDS EAT THE SAME THING IN THESE CONTAINERS. HOW do you know what food is for what bird

How do you deal with crows , grackles,starlings coming to this open pan of bird seed? I want to put one out but believe they will drove the other smaller birds away from my other feeders on the same pole.
