This is the best matchup yet lol! I was hoping to see them together at the stream! Two amazingly red birds, but completely different species! We never know who will show up for a drink or a bath!! Kalamazoo, Michigan. #birds #birdbathwars #birdwatching #nature #wildlife #cardinal #tanager

Cardinal finally learned his lesson from the Robin. The key isn’t screeching, it’s hissing and blowing himself up like a beach ball.

This water comes from the geothermal heating/cooling system in our house. It brings ground water in, then puts it right back out in to the yard to soak back into the ground. It comes out of a pvc pipe and runs several times a day depending on the weather. It creates a nice little stream of freshwater that the wildlife uses day and night. I put the camera out there a couple of years ago when I realized I could be seeing them enjoying it! It's only about 30 feet from the house, but it is somewhat secluded.

@@thebirdperch_MI I had wondered how that bit of water always seemed to stay filled despite the weather in your videos, that's a pretty convenient system for both you and the animals.
