This is water in my backyard from my geothermal heating/cooling system for the house. It runs water from a pipe throughout the day.

They look out of place when they're sitting in a tree. I've seen a turkey fly to a tree before. They're not very graceful. Looks like a flying bowling ball with wings. 😅 It's a nice shot you got of her. Nice and clear. I occasionally get 2-3 of the larger turkeys under my bird feeder and enjoy watching them strut around the yard. 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

They do look very awkward when flying! This lady has been hanging around for a few weeks. I think she might have a bad eye on the left side. Maybe that is why she reacted so strongly and flew so high!

Such a gorgeous bird! My brother caught one once. He had a cardboard box propped up with a stick with a string attached. He waited for hours. The Baltimore Oriole keep looking in the box at the food, but wouldn't stay under the box. It would quickly hop back out. But my brother was finally able to get it. That was over 60 years ago. Haven't seen one since moving from PA to CA in 1978. This video brought back fond memories. Your videos always brighten my day. Thank you! 💜🐦💙🙏🏻

Birds are in the top 10 reasons why I have not lost my mind, but am going into debit spending $60.00 a week on birdseed. I got up one morning in March, looked out my second story window and there was a Pileated standing on top of a telephone pole doing some kind of crazy dance, about 20 feet from me. And then I looked down into my yard and there was another one doing the same crazy dance. This is in the UP so Pileated are common.... But generally are not this public.

I too spend a ridiculous amount on bird food, but it's one of my favorite things to do! It's harder now because the price of it has gone up so much, but I still do it to keep my heart happy! I feel like I am paying them with food to keep showing up and give me the joy to look forward to each day! We are fortunate to have quite a few Pileated Woodpeckers in this area of lower Michigan. The SW corner has a lot of wooded area!
