New way to get his revolver even earlier (chapter 1) during the attack on the O'driscoll gang encampment (not adler ranch but after that) simply disarm an O'driscoll lead it to Micah and then it will disarm him making him drop one of his pistols for you to pick up (he will also use a knife for the rest of that mission causing him to charge enemies) you'll also lose the revovler if you fail the mission or die after that checkpoint.
