@@strider1237 right on man!! And thank you! It was a fun project and it was fun to animate the alligator grabbing the boar in the swamp and dragging it into the water. It's truly insane how great looking and detailed the actual map of RDR 2 is. Even areas which are inaccessible to the player like Mexico, Tempest Rim and several others have tonnes of detailed environments. I've heard that for most of the countryside environments, Rockstar used some painting portraits as reference to generate any specific environment keeping the geographical features of the area in mind. For other places like Saint Dennis, some devs actually visited New Orleans to get a blueprint on what buildings, sites and special areas to include in that part of the RDR 2 map. And man did it all pay off big time to give us the most detailed and most lively open world map to date in the history of video games.
@Gabe.497
@Gabe.497 Жыл бұрын
I've glitched into Mexico in rdr2. It's so empty. There are a few structures but they don't have floors and stuff like in rdr1. And it feels like the area is just carved out or something because there's no buildings there where we remember these buildings from the first game. But it is really detailed. I've also got out of the map from the north in Roanoke Ridge and I went super far. It's insanely detailed. After a while the animals up there (yes there are animals that spawn there) don't run like normal but that's after riding for a while. It takes a long time to fall through the map.

Well of course Mexico is relatively detailed, it's part of rdr1 so some things you can see from across the river should still be seen. Also, tempest rim was supposed to be accessible in the game so that's why.
