i love the way guitar, bass and drums make you feel like they were playing completely different rythms one from each other, but they create that incredibly complex groove collectively that i have to say sometimes i believe john when he says that the mansion where they recorded blood sugar was enchanted and all that music was brought to the band by spirits from another dimension....

SebaChannel Believe it cause it's true. I've had many weird experiences like that. It takes psychadelics to reach that state, but the more you do, your brain kinda stays in that state. That can be good and bad. However, please don't go out and eat a ton of shrooms cause i said so. I used to live by a cow farm. We gave the farmer Marijuana and he let us graze his fields. That was in 1996. I ate so many shrooms i still get crazy flashbacks. Especially, during Thunderstorms. Which is weird. I guess its the mood it sets. Good day. 😉

It's incredible the way Frusciante plays. I've been playing his songs every day for 3 years and I still struggle a lot to get all the nuances. Who says he is not technically skilled clearly hasn't tried to play his songs with great attention to the details and with his attack and style.
@400_billion_suns4 жыл бұрын
Yup! The notes might not be shredding arpeggios but getting his songs to sound the same way he plays them is no small feat. It’s easy to get 50% of the way there with the basic notes and chords but getting the feel, the snap, the pop, the way he beats the everloving hell out of individual strings with surgical precision... it doesn’t sound right if you don’t do those things correctly. He uses a ton of left-hand muting on certain strings to make his chords sound how they do, which is something else most people don’t get right. Even a song like “Can’t Stop” which sounds like a few easy notes over and over... learning that riff is a real lesson in the left hand doing a lot of imperceptible perfectly-timed movements for muting.
@spiritualconnection48074 жыл бұрын
@@400_billion_suns True, my friend. Surgical precision and always a lot of strength hitting the strings, 100% right. Frusciante is one of the greatest example of the fact that the sentence "the tone is in great part in the hands" is right. So you can buy all of his rig but you'll not sound comparable without a lot of practice.

I kinda wish they did more requests like this, I'd be trying to request more of their early albums. True Men Don't Kill Coyotes is something I'd LOVE to hear them play now after decades of playing, I feel like it'd be even better live especially in the current state of the band. Sadly, I don't think they'll ever do any of their old music because a few others in other comment sections kept saying that Anthony has a grudge against their old record label (EMI Records I believe?) And that because of something that happened with the label, he refuses to play the old music up to Mother's Milk (save for their popular songs from the albums, I.E., Higher Ground) and instead only teases parts of their old music in their shows now. I'm gonna look more into it, but that's what I've seen in other comment sections surrounding their old album music and their old concerts, so if it is true then that's a huge bummer. I'm sure Anthony has his reasons, but I'm still holding onto hope they they'd do more of their old music eventually.
