Such an AWESOME show at the SOLD OUT SoFi Stadium!! It holds 70K, so estimating 50K people attended? So difficult to pick which songs to record. So much ENERGY on stage this night!!!, especially the 1st and 3rd song in this video! My seat was on the 1st level above the floor, 3rd row and pretty much the direct opposite side of the stage. Far away, but felt there was soooo much action that this was my favorite show of the year so far! It would have been much better if only Flea...you know...just moved around a little tiny bit more...JK! He ROCKED the show! He sometimes made it hard to devote filming time to the others on stage. My only complaint ( a minor one) was the static. It was very bad during some of the opener (Beck) songs, but mostly only heard during quite passages or between songs. After so many decades, how are these guys still in this amazing physical shape, and still perform this great!!?!?!?!

Did you say you recorded in 4K? Sorry, but it doesn't even look like 1080. Especially around 1:40.

@@rockmusicvideoreviewer896 Yes, 4K 60fps. It's YT. They do some sort of compression so they can have more storage on their servers. It's most noticeable when a large portion of the screen has a lot of tiny movements. I first noticed t when I uploaded of my scuba and surfing videos. There was so much water motion. In both cases, it even messes up the static objects in the video. So in this case it is most visible when the screen behind the band is changing patterns and lighting. Most bands are using these kinds of light so not much you can do (or can you? anyone?) but maybe get a Vimeo account (I heard its quality is much better, but audience is much less). Only thing I know that helps is when uploading a video recorded in 1080, is to render it in 4K and upload that version. But for this video, it was 4K and so far I do not see an option to play it in 4K (yet) even though YT showed me that 4K processing was completed. Maybe it just still needs time? @@3VAudioVideo but even when the screen is no longer doing the light show but just shows a video of Anthony it looks bad. Are we talking about the same thing? It looks pixelated.

@@rockmusicvideoreviewer896 Was the background behind him black? Video compression (YT's doing) causes dynamic range (subtle differences in shading) to look pixelated too, even if nothing is moving.

Me too! I keep coming back to see if there's more but end up watching this 1 all over again. I keep looking for more videos but most of them sound so noisy or just videos of the screen hs ha ha

I've listened to almost every Black Summer live performances and this one is the best. Anthony is perfect and John improvised a lot throughout the song. Just wow

They're all heart & soul w crazy energy!!❤🔥 So cute when AK & Flea do the chase approx 1136-1143 😂, my 9yo son & I love this 🥰😂!! I was blessed to see them in 88 or 89 during Mother's Milk tour &also @Lollapalooza 92, I think (?? ICR, that was long ago!)! Would love to take my son & adult daughter to see them& it's not in the cards this time. So, seeing these live videos is Awesome - Thank You for the footage!! 😁✌🔥🌶❤

That's awesome that you got to see them so early on in their career! For me, I am seeing more of my favorite band now then ever. But most of them are getting old and don't move around a lot anymore so it was so awesome to see RHCP guys with so much energy on stage! Flea was in the new Obi-Wan Disney series, so when I saw his chase with Anthony (11:32) , all I could think is him running around with a light-saber (guitar) wearing a Darth Vader kilt ;) One of my favorite parts of the show! So sorry you and your kids won't be able to see them for this so, but glad the videos are helping a little. Major reason I want to share them. It helped me and my gf too, because we were so far away, plus she is short so she could hardly see what was going on stage. Good luck seeing them at the next tour!

I still find it so hard to believe how this can look so good from all the way over on the other side of the stadium and not on the floor. I saw Def Leppard a few days ago at the stadium and stood much closer than you did and my video looks like vomit. And sounds like it was run over by a train.

Same here. I was not too happy with the sound at this show. The static was bad enough, but the acoustics was bad too. When I got home and started to listen to the recording, I knew it was going to be challenging to process the sound to get it to sound decent. Many arena shows I hardly need to do any EQ-ing at all.

No, they did not play it at this gig. But they have played it at shows just days before and after. You can view what shows they played it at the SetlistFm page. i was there at sofi and to be honest the sound was very echo-y and sometimes when they were talking in between songs it sounded kind of muffled. i was on the first level on the right, sec 133.

The acoustics are really bad here. This was our second concert at sofi. Paul McCartney and Rhcp. It was difficult to make out the majority of them talking. It is loud but not clear at all. But the energy of the concert was so kick ass and we had a great time!

I was right in the middle, section 443. I thought I was too far up, that I got screwed with the sound. Still a fun show. They played the jams. But will not got back to sofi for a show.

Thanks so much! I was not in the pit. The entire time I was in my seat located at the 1st level above the floor, all the way on the opposite side of the stage. At the end of the 1st and 3rd song (4:44 & 12:47 ) you can get a feel how far away I was.

I usually try to film 1-3 songs a show. In this case, a big classic hit, my favorite/something with a lot of energy, and a new song (even if it's not a big hit because it might not ever be played in following tours). Little bit of everything.
