Here is ‘Red is the rose’ a beautiful song written by Tommy Makem. This song originated in Scotland as ‘Lock Lomond’. Trying out a new approach with the microphone.. might take a bit more practice to get the hang of it! Hope ye enjoy! 🇮🇪💚

Meadhbh, While popularized by Tommy Makem, Red is the Rose was not written by him. The earliest recording of Red is the Rose , which was written to the tune of the Scottish ballad Loch Lomond, was performed by Josephine Beirne and George Sweetman, in 1934, when Tommy was just two years old.
