In "Red Lights Ahead" (1936), directed by Roland D. Reed, Pa Wallace, a devoted member of the Whales, is persuaded by leader Grand Harpoon F. Q. Whitney to invest $5,000 in a gold mine. Despite Mrs. Wallace's objections, their four children-Willie, George, Edna, and Mary-support the idea, hoping for easy money to continue their idle lifestyle. When Grandpa visits, the family receives money, but the children quickly squander it. The scheme collapses when Whitney and his partner are arrested for fraud. Broke and unable to pay the mortgage, the family moves back to their old home. Grandpa reveals he sent the checks to prove the children weren't loafers, inspiring them to work and help the family recover.

I downloaded the film from the Archive. I used AI facial enhancement, upscaled both the original and colourised versions to HD from very low resolution and sharpening, decreased the saturation and colourised it using AVCLabs and RTX4090 with a Ryzen9 CPU and 64GB RAM. I then stitched it all together using iMovie.
