no, Mother Russia but, is a historical mistake, because in Soviet times the term was used: Mother Motherland. More internationalist, this video puts them as if they were Nazis.

SyouXesp rodina is translated in different ways, in WWI rodina stood for "Russia" but in WWII it meant "Soviet Union" There were stages of WWII where propaganda became Russian nationalist in effect, so I can see a red army officer saying something like that or some NKVD person using that phrasing if their troops are all ethbic Russians or other Slavs.
