Want to be active or get out in nature while you're in Las Vegas? This spot is STUNNING! Located only 15 minutes from Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is the perfect change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are endless opportunities for hiking and rock climbing. We HIGHLY recommend biking the Scenic Drive Loop Road instead of driving it. This will enable you to see so much more and not have to fight crowds for parking. Petroglyph trailhead is about halfway around the loop and is a wonderful spot for a picnic. Keep your eyes peeled for wild burros. Even if you don't see them, the beauty of the rock formations alone, will blow your mind.
Jason and Emma (The Roaming Russells) are Full Time, RV travelers - home base is Salem, OR. Along with our two cats, Steg and Little Foot, we're slowly cruising our way around the country. We exclusively boondock/dry camp and enjoy exploring the great outdoors. We especially enjoy hiking, riding our bikes and paddling on our SUPs. Stay tuned for more from The Roaming Russells!
