I don't know whether the coaches make all that much difference. The manager will never be mistaken for Sparky Anderson or Earl Weaver. But after all, he can only work with the talent that they give him. There is something not quite right with the mix of this team. They ae better defensively but can't score runs when it counts. Vladie is not quite the same this year and may not ever live up to the hype. I am very disappointing with this team this year.

@@lawrencejeffrey9245 Coach Schneider has made some poor decision making this year. I don't like his batting rotation and when it comes to pulling pitchers his timing is off. I'd like to see the Jays hire a better manager, one who will inspire this struggling roster.

Jays need to GET RID of Luis Rivera!!! The amount of bad calls he makes is unbelievable! He has one easy job and he can't understand when or when NOT to send the runner. It has cost the Jays so many games this year!!!

If you're talking about the final out of the game, the Red Sox radio announcers said that Bichette ran through the stop sign. Can't blame the base coach for that, unless he was late making the call.

@@hkpew You call that a stop sign? Bichette was halfway past 3rd and had to look back because of Rivera's indecisive decision. He's been making bad calls all year, not just this game. He gets paid to make these poor amateur decisions?

Lol I hope you're kidding! By far the worst loss of the season. I'm so tired of their fake comebacks. I'm done with this team this season. Life and summer are too short to waste on the most aggravating team I've ever watched. They don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Yesterday that loss ruined my mood for the day completely. Terrible awful game.

Last year's 16 game winner with just about 200 innings and 200k's, Jays #1 starter is in the minors having won one game this year. So Kikuchi is #4 instead of 5, has done well, but that is a huge hole in the lineup.

Minnesota would sweep the wildcard against the jays but jays aren't good enough to get in. It will probably be Houston or NY that gets the 3rd wildcard. Jays and Angels will come up short as per usual.

Today was a samurai matchup of Kikuchi ⚔️ Yoshida! Kikuchi was pitching an even game until the 5th inning, when he was destroyed by Yoshida and his team. It was a disappointing result for Kikuchi today, but we look forward to more success from both of them this season.🙌🙌🙌

Why send Bichette?? That was a horrible call... hold him up and go for another single to tie. There’s aggressive base running and then there’s insane base running.

I couldn't see any sign at all from Rivera. That must have been confusing for Bichette. That ball reached the outfield in one of the few places where Bichette would have been best staying at third. Verdugo is the only OF with a good arm. Vladdy pasted that ball and it was right at Verdugo who had an easy out at the plate. Overall horrible performance by everyone except George and Matt. The middle relief was effective as well but everyone else stinks.

@MickLoud999 Springer didn't read the ball Bichette hit in the 9th, which kept him from scoring and Bichette from getting to 3rd. Otherwise, Bichette scores on Guerrero's hit. Also, Swanson gave up the home run to Turner in the top of the 9th for insurance which was the difference in the game. There's always plenty of blame to go around with the Jays.

@@NatTurnerswitBurnerz I agree that loss was a team effort. I still don't get playing Biggio over Espinal when Espy hits RHP better than Biggio. Springer couldn't advance because he had to make sure the ball was over Verdugo's head. He wouldn't have scored on that fly ball anyways. Biggio is a useless player. He hits .207 against RHP while Espinal hits .243. The numbers were similar in 2022 as well. schneider is an idiot.

I agree 100% the biggest mistake ever was letting Anthopolous walk. Atkins has depleted our farm system while building an expensive but very mediocre team. Theyr not gonna get even close to a playoff spot this year.

Bo Bichette was out of gas from chasing those pop ups that went barely past him. That's why he got threw out by a mile at home plate. Good game though Boston escaped with a win.

They're gonna get it. Gausman is great but gets the second least run support in the league. As a jays fan I might not even bother turning this game on. They cannot score when Gausman pitches.
