I was going for a red fiery look with this one using my bloom paints. A red streak across a black background. It challenged me at first with a lot of black swipe mix left on top of the colours, but with a bit of stretching and coaxing the colours came out. This is a very simplistic piece but I think it turned out well :)
House paint - British paints interior walls
Pouring medium - Taubman's sunproof exterior neutral base
Australian Floetrol added as a thinner.

Such a good idea to paint the corners. Having to stretch over a pesky corner has always been a struggle.

Hi Fiona. Thanks for your wonderful videos as a Fluid artist. I live in Adelaide & have recently started my Acrylic Fluid Art journey. Like you I’m inspired by Sara Taylor’s Pearl Pour paintings. I find it hard to replicate her style with Australian supplies. Can I ask what recipe you recommend for the thin basecoats please. Cheers Amanda

It's been awhile since I've done one. But as I recall I used my usual pouring medium of 50 Liquitex pouring medium and 50 Australian Floetrol mixed with Mont Marte Titanium white, then I added the decoart satin enamels, and thinned it down with water. Hope that helps.

I actually used Amsterdam Oxide Black to swipe this one. When I use white, I use Amsterdam Titanium White 😉
