For me I actually found Red Velvet thanks to 'Psycho' and then I listened to 'peekaboo' that was on repeat for at least a week 😅 and still my favourite song from them with Psycho coming second and Russian Roulette in third place.

I know you might not like cute concepts but lets just say when Red Velvet does cute its usually either Summer vibes (which is why they are called Summer Queens) or just amazingly weird, quirky and sometimes disturbing and unsettling in an awesome way. I love how weird RV is.

Red Velvet is a group with a very different concept. They’re cute but corky and sexy at the same time. It sounds weird but it’s true 😂 Btw, Wendy, one of the vocalists, just released a mini album and there’s a MV for a song called Like Water. Even if you check it on your own, it really deserves to be seen and heard because it’s amazing

I'm not the biggest fan (yet) of Red Velvet, but I think it's just because I haven't spent much time actually searching for their songs and listening to them, but I'll do it now while you react to them. Well, yes... RED VELVET has two main concepts. Red side is more cute and bubble and Velvet side is classy and kind a mature vibe. Almost every era has two song, one for each side. For example, their debut was "Happiness" (red side) and for velvet side, they have "Be Natural". The second era was "Ice Cream Cake" (red side) and "Automatic" (velvet side). Also they have a mix like "Peek-a-boo" and "Really Bad Boy"... If you want check the B-side... They have one of the best discography in Kpop (they have song for each vibe and mood)

Yes, as you said, they can pull of "bad ass" and "cute" concepts. I recommend watching 2 more MVs to see their contrast as well. Red Side MV "dumb dumb" and Velvet side "Be Natural". As an FYI, Red Velvet has a huge discography including some serious R&B killers.
