Based on the Casey McQuiston novel of the same name, this LGBTQ story focuses on Alex Claremont-Diaz, the First Son of the United States and his rivalry with the young Prince of Wales, Henry. After causing a major uproar at the older prince's wedding, the two are forced to avoid a national incident by up-playing their nonexistent friendship with a goodwill visit to the UK. Their rivalry soon turns into a forced friendship and then blossoms into something even more. The two try to keep their relationship a secret despite their highly public lives amid his mother's reelection campaign as the first female President.

This make me freak out a little bit because it doesn’t mention he is bisexual like the book did. I hope they don’t omit that’s he is bisexual because the story doesn’t really make sense if they do.

@@jillandautumn2584yeah, she’s just surprised it’s a he. I think unnatural would be just to stay stone faced. This reaction hardly is a sign Alex’s sexuality would be an issue. Pizza is needed because it’s a prince of England.

I LOOOOOVED the movie🎉. Charming, funny, touching and light. Among my favorite things was seeing Uma Thurman who was wonderful in this. She's always a terrific actress, whose onscreen presence the past few years has been scarce. Welcome back beautiful Uma Thurman ❗

Just love Uma Thurman, she's a terrific actress, and still beautiful, and talented, and so many more adjectives ......and the line "she's not a republican, is she"...just brilliant, I fancy it and her quite a lot, and she gave such a beautiful performance on this film...as usual ....

loved this movie, it was so sweet, and the boys made it look so effortless and easy (which i am sure it wasnt) just the right balance of everything, directing, writing, casting, editing, i truly cant think of anything i would change. cant wait to watch again

@@mpb3481 yes i know. and i'm so sad knowing that. i watched this abomination of a "movie" - precisely a talentless ripoff of a gay move - and i almost cried. every scene with still great Uma was like a knife (or shit) into my eyes. i love Uma very much, i'm great fan of her. inspite this role, she will always be in my heart. i believe she has hard time right now, that's why she was forced to take part in this pice of crap. i hope you will agree with me that real Uma is Kiddo from Kill Bill, and Mia from Pulp Fiction, and Fantine from Les Misérables, and even Poison Ivy from Batman & Robin, etc. i'm hopeful that we will see again that kind of Uma very soon in some normal tasteful serious movie based on more-less original script with realy talented director and crew. this disaster of a "move" is like a disease that must be cured promptly. love 😘

In an amusing way, she can thank herself for sending Alex to England for damage control. One thing to find out your son is dating another man. Another to find out he's a foreign royal prince with all the complications that might entail because of their positions. But people have made more difficult situations work and I think they will.
