There is not enough words to describe how much we love this movie. NOT ENOUGH. We don't care about the nay sayers, this was absolute perfection. The only way this could be beaten is if Matthew releases the 3 hours long version -- otherwise, this is already a masterpiece.
Also? Taylor & Nick are the PERFECT ACD and Prince Henry. It's as if they jumped out of the book and came to life right before our very eyes. Alex & Henry exists in this world because of them and for that I am more than thankful. Their chemistry was off the charts - all the facial expressions, the nuances, the behavior, the dialogue and the overall characterization were absolutely on point. No one else could play these characters but them.
Mad props to the entire team of Red, White & Royal Blue for bringing this story to life. The book was already life changing this movie so much more so. I feel so honored to have watched it. What a time to be alive. Thank you Casey for writing this wonderful, beautiful and amazing book, thank you Matthew for bringing it to life on screen and thank you to the entire cast, especially Nick & Taylor for bringing our beloved characters to life as they should.

I agree the adaptation is very well made. The story revolved around Henry and Alex's love story. The essence of the book is captured and illustrated in the film. The changes for me is very impactful in telling the story and conveying reality in a sense that it progresses naturally.

I've seen several other reactions videos to this movie. And I will say yours was one of the better ones. Too many I find rambled on or skipped over certain scenes that mattered. But you all did very well. One fan mentioned that during Alex and Henry's first real love making scene. Henry giving Alex assurance he'll be ok. How Alex never looked way from Henry and always made eye contact. Looking for approval and permission. Was so well done and beautiful. The song they used for the museum was just heart melting and beautifully haunting at the same time. Henry said to hurry and Alex simply said, I'll break the sound barrier for you. I mean just WOW for that line. Then the phone call and again Alex saying...baby. The bar scene where Alex had that moment in time and it was hitting him. How much Henry was affecting his life in such a positive way. The dance scene where they both just looked at each other. Their first kiss under the tree where Alex reciprocated was just everything. Henry's emotional delivery in his bedroom telling Alex his personal challenges in all this. Alex responding and delivering emotions too. As you can tell it is really hard to just pick one scene that was better than the others.

Awww, thank you, thank you so much for saying that. I was scared that we might've reacted too much or discussed too much but this movie is such a joy and we couldn't for the life of us keep our emotions in. I had to cut so much reaction and still got to 1 hour to 28 minutes. There's just so much to say and we can't not discuss it. And I totally agree - it is so hard to pick the scenes, they're all so important and great! Love your input, this entire comment brought a huge smile to our faces ♥️🤍💙

If you've read the book, there is a line there where Alex says as one of his favorite things about Henry - "THAT THING YOU DO WHERE YOU STICK OUT YOUR CHIN TO TRY TO LOOK TOUGH", this scene reminded me so much of that and, "How hard you try. How hard you've always tried. How determined you are to keep trying." 😭 JUST - 😭 ♥️🤍💙

I have been following TZP for a while now and he's been our favorite - I was warned to check the end of the movie for a dedicatiom so I made sure we waited. I wanted to hug Taylor when I saw that. And awwww - 🫂🫂🫂 the movie got us so emotional feeling for these two wonderful humans 😭 I still cry whenever I do my rewatches, it's inevitable. 29:15, the Paris ‘Let’s Make Love’, scene. Whatever the cultural, ethnic background, this is the place where everybody pauses, holds breath and collects (intimate) thoughts. Every minute detail of this scene is destined to become a classic. We’re so lucky that everyone on the set was in the zone that day… ❤

I must have watched RWRB at least 10 times now and even more reaction videos. You're only the 2nd person to mention the dedication to Taylor's sister. I didn't know about that and my heart goes out to Taylor. When you started comparing it to the book, I skipped that part. I haven't read it yet, but will. This movie is romcom perfection and the love scene was beautiful. I don't know if there is a 2nd book coming, but I want another movie asap! Let's go Amazon we need Red, White & Royal Two!

I love this movie!!! I have watched it 4 times in 1 day and I cannot stop. The book and the movie are great. The chemistry between Nick and Taylor is off the charts!!! I laughed, I cried. Hello mga sis! Thank you so much for this fantastic review. I had the same exact comments and reactions that y’all did on every scene. I cried over the same scenes too. Like you, I also wish they made the book into a series so that it could’ve been longer. But the movie really was perfect in all aspects. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched it. Every time I watch it, I still notice something new which is so unique. This movie is truly extraordinary. Taylor and Nick’s mesmerizing chemistry is just stunning. @@AngelExplores I was done last night.. I like the book better, it has more grit especially for Alex.. He's 4 inches shorter than Henry which explains the obsession with height.. their emails needsq to be fleshed out, its so poetic. The wit and forward intelligence of both characters is astonishing. Yung movie kasi, parang si Henry lang yung into literature that much when it is both, considering na nag graduate si Alex with Summa Cum Laude latin honors. Taylor's portrayal of Alex is a little clean and safe. Di kasi pinakita na childhood crush niya si Henry. I have a lot more for this, but I am moving on to Aristotle and Dante for now.

I’m pretty sure the first scene they shot was actually the restaurant in Paris. People online keep saying the love scene was also shot first day because it’s also Paris but I doubt it.

Here's my idea for a sequel: Even though Miguel forcing the couple out of the closet ultimately brought them freedom and happiness, Alex knows the slimeball has no integrity as a journalist and bans him from the White House. With no access to important, vital press conferences, Politico folds and Miguel is shunned by the media. Desperate to rehabilitate his career, Miguel creates a whole romance narrative with Alex that went beyond their previous one-night stand. This elaborate effort includes fabricated emails (love letters) and because Miguel followed Ellen's first campaign on the road, he and Alex were always at the same hotels, making rendezvouses conveniently easy and hard to refute. Miguel further lies that he and Alex were in a committed relationship until Henry entered the picture and stole Alex away, which puts both Alex and Henry in a very unfavorable light. Unfortunately, Alex feels the wrath of all England because they blame the American for bringing turmoil to Henry's life.

Not a bad plot, ngl. Have you read the extra chapter from the limited edition of the book? It has a plot for a sequel - if they ever do one (which I have an inkling they will), though it's all made of fluff. They can put something like this for 'trouble' just so it's not too fluffy and has a bit of conflict. I'd hate Miguel more than I already do (and I rage when I see him).

I am pretty sure Prince Philip is happy where he is at. During a Q&A on threads with Casey, they said that he eventually fixes his relationship with Henry (and in part, Alex) one time they got stuck together (forgot if it's because of being snowed in or something else). I'm sure he's just being papansin and pabibo to rub it to Henry's face that he's doing the right and proper thing that a royal should do, being the crown prince and all.
