A close up and detailed walk around of the 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200. This brand new tiger 1200 is an adventure bike to look forward to. With its triple engine similar to the Triumph Tiger 900, could it be better than the BMW GS1250?
I go to my local Triumph dealership in North London to get a look at this potentially best new adventure motorcycle for 2022. A big adv motorbike that is good on and off road. A very exciting new motorbike from Triumph.

Hey Jase I’m in Australia as well but have gone the other way and ordered the GT explorer. I love the rally Explorer but my battered old body keeps me mainly on the black stuff. When have you been told to expect yours? I was told build in Mar and delivery Apr. Hope you get a lot of pleasure out of it Cheers Chris

@@christhamm7064 we ordered the bikes directly with the importer & there dealer. They have nothing confirmed & are just working off UK dates, so April or May I reckon. Check out my brothers Facebook group New Gen Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro & Explorer.

Jase, yes I think May is a more realistic timeframe and that’s if everything in production and shipping goes well. I would love to look at your brothers KZfaq channel. Can you add a link as I did a bit of a search and couldn’t find it Cheers Chris

Hey Angus liking the GT the mirror radar is a great innovation and should be on all bikes and be possible to retro fit too . The blue is my color too , look forward to you gettin out on one though I fear they just break the bank to much : D

Hi, yup I think it is a great idea. I just hope the system works well enough, as it could be very annoying if it interferes with the ride. But I do like the idea of it. Absolutely I don't think it is going to be cheap! Thanks, yup I cannot wait to take one for a ride. Hopefully next month sometime!

I'm expecting my GT Explorer in this Lucerne Blue to be delivered at my dealer in Belgium somewhere in June, if everything goes according to plan/schedule ... .

Hi Angus, good review, thanks. I went to a similar 'event' with these bikes today. I note your comments about shaft drive, and agree! like you, I am 5ft 9'' - and compared to the Speedmaster, I was somewhat on the tips of my toes, with the centre of gravity higher up. A different bike, sure, but that would take a bit of getting used to. I will seriously consider this, but I also want to look at the (smaller, less powerful) Guzzi V85tt Travel, and I wish they would get on with releasing the Mandello. Thanks again.

Nice to see in person 👍 I am most likely going shaft drive for my next bike!! It did feel a tad high, but I find I quickly get used to it. O YES bring on the Mandello, looks beautiful. Thanks

Nice review but I’ll hopefully find out soon as I have ordered the Rally Explorer so hopefully I’ll get it April fingers crossed it’s replacing my 800 XCa so it’s got a lot to do to impress me 😂

👍👍 Definitely that is pretty much my ideal garage!! I personally think the new Tigers look really good in the flesh. Especially the Rally Explorer. Hopefully be able to take one for a ride next month some time 🤞

Nice work, however Ducati have the blind spot detection on the multi V4S.. so not the first for triumph. 👍🏻

Having those features on my car I can say that the lane change assist is quite annoying whereas in the car it attempts to argue with you even when making a safe lane change if you have not used your blinkers first.

Yep, I had an Evoque for a while with lane assist. There was one particular narrow lane I would have to keep far left if there was any oncoming vehicle. The damn thing thought it knew better than me when I was trying to avoid an oncoming car.

Yea that would be very annoying and potentially very dangerous on a motorbike! I hope Triumph manage to get it right. Could go either way I suppose!

@@redangrevival to be fair, it is a feature that can be turned off, at least in the car. I suppose we'll find out about the feature on the Triumph in further tests.

got several concerns about this new model. firstly, 18" rear wheel. secondly. unnecessary high exhaust, making soft panniers very difficult. weird choices from triumph.

Will be very interesting to see how it does. Yup 18" rear is an interesting one, not too sure why they have done that 🤔. I guess the high exhaust will get quite hot for soft panniers, unless maybe they have found a way around it? Cheers

Not sure why the high exhaust will be an issue for soft panniers. I have run a mosko moto reckless 80 over the high pipes on my Scrambler 1200 XE with just a generic heat shield and have had no issues. With the rack to space the panniers off the pipe and maybe a heat shield (don't even know if that will be necessary), I don't see this configuration being a problem. Also, I'd much, much rather have the high pipes taking this on any kind of offroad riding. 90% won't, but I absolutely will.

Unfortunately Triumph puts their dashboard low as it is was a sports bike. There is a reason many other adventure bikes have their dashboards up higher these days….

I suppose I did not notice that straight away, but yes it did seem to be a bit lower than others.
