Redbone was an amazing Native American band that traveled around the world! Lolly and Pat Vegas also wrote songs for many artists. Jimmy Hendrix said that Lolly Vegas was one of the best guitar players he'd ever heard! Before Redbone Lolly and Pat Vegas played the clubs on the Sunset Strip!

Jimi himself had Cherokee blood lines from his Mom's side. Jimi encouraged Lolly to form a Native American band as well, and in fact suggested the name Redbone (Lolly's nickname). Great stuff ✌🏽

Here's a little factoid; the Dance done at the beginning by the Native American brother is a special dance that he had to study for years under the direction of his tribal leaders and only he can perform it with their full approval and permission once he perfected the art of this particular dance. This was a special visual treat we got to see today!

Yes Redbone was Native American, & the Dance is called the "Fancy Dance", Pan-Indian dancing, Fancy Feather or Fancy War Dance is a style of dance some believe was originally created by members of the Ponca tribe in the 1920s and 1930s, in an attempt to preserve their culture and religion. It is loosely based on the War dance. Please react to more, they have many hits out there!!!

This song was the cut back in the day, one of my favorites, you would have to hear the 45 single to really get into the song. Them singing it live was good but the 45 single was happening with some mad beats and funky rhythm back then. Yeah the single audio version would have been great to listen to, although it was also great to see them again on you guys KZfaq channel.

I found you guys a few months ago and I've watched hours of your videos. I absolutely love all of your personalities~! I love how open you are to learning about other music and various videos. You have great attitudes as you converse about the videos you watch... I just think you're awesome~! There was only one thing wrong... lol... I wanted to tell you about "Black Betty" so bad... I couldn't wait... it was one of my favorite songs when I was in school... and then I saw your video on it... lol. I'm so glad you liked it. I've spent my whole life being a vocalist and sang in bands as well as opened for some bands that were popular when I was young that still tour sometimes. I've thought of so many songs to tell you about but someone has already beat me to the punch. LOL and you've already heard them. Sooooooo, I'm really thinking hard on what to ask you listen to.... you'll be hearing from me when I figure it out.. 😊I think it's cool that some of your audience is older also. Just goes to show you that you're good with people! You are all cute, witty, funny and most of all you have good hearts... it really shows! Keep up the good work! By the way, I was wondering if you had ever gone live and let your audience ask questions about you or have you shared about yourselves a little bit and I just haven't caught that video yet? I think that would be fun! Oh, by the way, I'm from Oklahoma~! 😍😉
