Sweet run,I watched another video with the gen8 on 2.2s, but they had to lower the shocks and change the pinion gear,good to see you didn't have to do that👍👍

Track looks a little narrow now with the 2.2's. It will most likely perform better if you modify your track and wheelbase by the same percentage you used going from 1.9 to 2.2. But I suppose it all depends on driving style and terrain style. I definitely like what I've been seeing from the gen8, looks like it is another staple in the scaler world.

Wow! So much better! It seems to do perfect with those 2.2's. I haven't picked my Gen8 up yet and I'm still new to the RC game, but I do wonder, what if I wanted to go bigger? Like 3.8? Other than adjusting the suspension, you reckon I'd have to change some gears as well???

Bro I tried putting 2.2 showdowns on my axial k5 and when I put the lift kit on... Only lifts on the shock towers it stiffened my front end so much it wouldn't bounce at all . I couldn't figure out what I'm doing wrong... Upsetting for sure . so I just put my 1.9 back on and put it back to reg height now all ok again. Any tips on why this happened? Thanks and great vid as always

You may have hit at this, but on other videos people are stating they you should switch pinion gears. Did you happen to do this and if so what size? Did you run into tire rub also? I’m thinking about making the swap to 2.2’s.

Hey buddy I was wondering if ya could help me out, I have this same truck as you and I noticed on the driver's side that the left rear of my truck squats easier than the rest of the truck and when I run it and give it some throttle that left rear side really gets lower. I know some of it could be the engine torque. Does yours naturally sit lower on the left rear? I've adjusted the shocks and made sure that they are all in the same hole in the shock towers. Is there anything that I missed out that I could do to alleviate this problem? Anyway thank you for your video and I gave it a gigantic thumbs up bud. 👍Take care.

Since I’m still noob, is there a “benefit” to these or does it come down to prefernce? Just curious. They look bad ass. As I watch I’d say yes. They made up the slide without slipping that time.
