I have 4z hair, very high porosity .. I have been using the conditioner only and this product has done wonders for my hair. Personally, it has worked better than Olaplex.

If your hair is not damaged then that’s probably why it works better. High porosity hair usually means our cuticles are lifted, not necessarily damaged. I’m gonna try this because I think it will work for me too

I tried this system and it works great. I shampooed twice, left the conditioner on for 10-15min(easy to detangle after it sits in for a min) & used the leave in. My hair texture is more defined, feels hydrated, soft, shiny, smells like citrus, & looks great. My hair isn’t damaged I don’t color it but it made a difference compared to other shampoo/conditioners I’ve used. I’ve used the treatment twice with a different shampoo before I got the rest of the redken line but I think I’ll try it again with the system because that works best. There’s usually coupons at ulta & if you purchase them separately you save more money. Definitely worth it.

No problem! I think the difference in the two is that Olaplex has protein and Redken doesn't. I've tried both brands and I like Redken the best. When I got my hair straightened, the stylist used the Redken bonding conditioner (back bar) before she did the blow-out and straighten (my recent video). Thanks, Ms. Wambui! I think the brush is something you might like. I saw one in Ulta for thick hair. The bristles are arranged a little differently. It's not the shower brush that I show in this video. I also have the original pro brush and it's great. You too!🤗🌻

THIS STUFF IS LIFE CHANGING, I USE THE PREWASH THE SHAMPOO AND THE CONDITIONER!!! I dont use the leave in because I have 3b hair and I truly feel like the prewash shampoo and conditioner works like nothing else.! Redken is EXPENSIVE BUT IT IS WORTH THE PRICE!

Yes, it's good stuff!! I've used the prewash and I really liked it. I don't use the leave-in either, I thought it was just me. Yes, you're right, it is so worth it!! It's a little cheaper than Olaplex because the bottles are bigger, and a little truly goes a long way. I love the quote!! It is so true. I really wanted this system to work for my hair but after yesterdays use I'm switching to something else. I came across this brand as it seemed to fit my hair needs and found your review, and seeing the results from a fellow natural immediately led me to purchasing. I just about ran lol...I tried the entire line in the repair kit and unfortunately the results left my 4b hair even more broken and weak :( I'm thankful for the little manageability these products gave me but once my hair was rinsed after each step my strands became VERRRY tangled and straw like!! And my hair *already* being prone to breakage had that much more unnecessary breakage using this :( It sucks

Hi, Seasoned! I'm sorry this system didn't work for you. You probably don't need to use bonding products; it seems like you need something for moisture and repair. I don't recommend bond-building products if you're not color-treated or using heat on your hair. You should look into a moisture repair shampoo and conditioner; these work well for weakened/damaged hair. A brand I like is Morroccanoil (moisture repair line). I hope you find something that works for you and get the breakage under control. Thanks for sharing!! 🤗🌻🌻🌻

I have been dealing with more and more split ends and dryness since coloring my hair and I use heat when deep conditioning and styling so I took that as needing Redken. I've tried the No. 8 moisture mask by olaplex and my hair absolutely loves it and it's been a God send in recovering from the acidic bonding system. With your analysis this is probably why my hair is so-so with olaplex No. 3 because it likely has protein in it! I will definitely check out the morrocanoil line you suggested being as my hair loves moisture more than anything. Thank you Evelyn

@seasoned With hair color we gotta be on top of treating the hair because color is drying, which can lead to breakage. I'm glad the Olaplex mask works for you. Since you have a lot of breakage and split ends, if I were you, I'd get a good trim, which should help. Then I would focus on weekly hair treatments to get and keep my hair in a good place. No problem, and all the best.🌻🌻🌻

My hair is virgin hair, and it works fine for me. And it's excellent for damaged hair. However, if your hair is extremely damaged, then you may want to use the system (Extreme) that is for damaged hair. Being that your hair is a bit damaged, then the Acidic Bonding line should he okay for your virgin hair. Take care!🌻🌻

If your hair is bleached/colored (lifted), has some damage, needs strengthening, and repairing, or you're using direct heat often then it would be okay to use it at every wash day. When I was using this, I used it when I knew I would be blow-drying and/or flat ironing my hair. So, if I was heat styling regularly (weekly/bi-weekly), then I would use it for every wash day. But, if you don't fall into that category then, I wouldn't use it for every wash. On the other hand. It's not heavy in protein and serves as a good maintenance/balancing product so if you wanted to use this a few times a month, then it should be okay.

Hi Troy! I've used these products a few times after uploading this video, and I am still pleased. Yes, I can do a video update. However, I mainly use the system before using heat (blow-drying & flat-ironing) and after returning to my textured/extremely curly hair, which adds up to a month of using the system. I’m interested in the claims of these products however I don’t like they they contain multiple silicones. It makes it hard to know if the smoothness is as a result of the star ingredients or the silicones. I’m not anti-silicones but I’d feel better if they had water-soluble silicones instead, no silicones, or at the very least no silicones in the shampoo.

I understand your concern. My preference is for silicone to not be in my shampoo too. As for the star ingredient, I believe its function is for strengthening the hair. "Featuring Citric Acid, this shampoo contains a concentrated bonding care complex that reinforces weakened bonds within your hair to improve hair strength and resilience" Check out the ingredients for Olaplex, Aveda Botanical Repair, or Curl Smith (bonding treatment). These may be more of what you're looking for. I haven't tried Aveda, but it's said to be comparable to Olaplex. Thanks for commenting and sharing your concern! 🤗🌻🌻

@@radiantbeauty-evelyn For sure! I have used Olaplex No. 0 and No. 3 at home and had a salon olaplex treatment done and I must say Olaplex really helped strengthen my hair. I think also doing the detox (5 months post detox) my hair is a lot healthier it’s just tempting seeing bonding treatments and damage repair because that’s the marketing that really got me because marketing had me believe my hair was damaged when in most cases my hair was just dehydrated.

The shampoo and conditioner did nothing for my hair. 4a/4b low porosity. I had a bunch of hair damage and my hair was falling out so bad due to a botched dominican blowout and this did nothing as expensive as it was.

Sorry about the products not working for your hair. You might need something for damaged hair and not a bond-building type of product. I only use these products before flat ironing and after going back curly. Thanks for sharing your experience with the products! Take care!🌻

Yes, it should be okay. However, if you don't have color-treated hair or use heat on your hair, you might look at something for moisture and repair instead of a bond-building hair care system. Take care!!🌻🌻

@@radiantbeauty-evelyn but my hair is still damaged due to my bad habits and lifestyle. I've spent 10 years of my life swimming and che pool water made my hair more prone to breakage and more thin as well as frizzy.

Redken says this system is for *all types of damaged hair looking to strengthen hair, reinforce weakened bonds, and lessen breakage*. A hair dresser who uses mostly Redken on clients told me that if my hair was extremely damaged then the Extreme line would be what she'd recommend. I hope this helps and take care!

Why would shampooing your ends scare you? There’s nothing wrong with shampooing your hair. Especially with a shampoo that is suppose to repair your hair from root to tip.
