Thanks for the video, my block off plates are on the way from Revzilla along with a Bazzaz Z-Fi that I'll be installing. I'm still deciding what to do with the exhaust, might just decat the stock header and run with my arrow slip on for now.

I got the same kit and resistor from Ditch Doctor! Been meaning to do this but like you, been putting it off for the longest time. I need to get to it! Is your light burnt out??? Haha! Love it!

Yup. He made two for me. They Daytona uses the same solenoid as my GSXR track bike. Both work perfectly. Yeah...she um...nvm

Hey man can't thank you enough for the walk through on this. I was wondering if you or anyone else has had success with removing the damn charcoal canister?? Any help there would be much appreciated since there's a lot of different ways guys have done it.
@Redline877 жыл бұрын
scott moso Yup removed mine a while back along with the evap solenoid. I removed the hose that went to the gas tank as a vent, remove the hose that went to the throttle bodies and put a rubber cap on it. deleted the whole system with no issues

I literally just did research all day on this and got all the information I needed and ordered a resistor and plug to solder myself... then I saw your video... I could've saved so much more time if I saw your video first lol. Do you happen to remember the exact specification of the resistor you used? I ordered a 10W 50 Ohm Ceramic Cement Power Resistor and praying that'll work. I used DitchDoctor's information to try and make one myself. Also, did you have to buy an O2 sensor eliminator or are you using an autotuner with a wideband sensor? Reason I'm asking is because I'm am installing a Bazzaz controller and have an Arrow Slip On for now. In order to get an accurate reading on the controller you need to eliminate the SAI and and also remove the O2 when getting dyno'd (unless you have an autotuner). I guess what I'm asking is I want to go to a Full Akra someday but want to make sure I have the pieces in place to do so, so all I have to do is bolt on the full exhaust and remap the ECU. Is it worth it to get an autotuner if you have one or did you just get it dynod and remapped? Thanks for any help man. You're like a year ahead of where I'm at on my bike haha.

Also, I noticed at the end of your video there was something about the reed's or reed valve? You don't need to transfer that to an aftermarket block off plate do you?
@Redline877 жыл бұрын
Im not sure on the resistor part. Ditch Doctor has done two for me and both work excellent. The Full TI Akrapovic came with a O2 sensor plug which i saftey wired onto the bike. I dont have an autotuner on the Daytona, thats on the GSXR 750. When you get the bike dynoed they will probably block off or unplug your O2 sensor and input their own for a good reading. Get the full akra, sai block offs, remove the carbon canister, get a BMC Street filter (unless track only bike) and have it dynoed with the bodywork off. Should get you a good reading.

Just clean the reed off and leave them in. Put the block plate over it and tighten it snug.
@ezra45177 жыл бұрын
Sounds Good! I'll have to look into removing the carbon canister because quite honestly I don't know what the purpose is. I did buy a BMC Race Filter, just waiting on the block off plates and the resistor materials to come in. I can't afford the Full TI system quite yet, but I'm putting in the ground work to do so in the future. Thanks again for the response.

Hey I am interested in one of those solenoids. How can I get one? I want to get everything all together before I do the install. Thanks

Its a resistor for the solenoid plug. Email my buddy Mark, norseindian@gmail.com. Tell him Redline sent you and give him the info for the bike.

I'd like to know how the custom tune was done and about the resistor as well?
@Redline875 жыл бұрын
The resistor was made by a guy on a triumph forum. Custom tube was done on a dyno in another video. Basically he adjust the air to fuel ratio from idle to Redline. Worth doing for sure

How much different does it make when you ride after the block plate installed?
@Redline877 жыл бұрын
Dick Muas Huge difference in backfiring on decel. Sounds much cleaner. It's also necessary to get an accurate tune.
