Edmonton was by far the biggest downgrade to me. It looks like a practice jersey and while there were plenty of terrible decisions at that time, this is the only one where I cannot even fathom somebody would find this to be an upgrade or even serviceable. It was the most confusing decision of that Edge update. Edit: I wrote this before seeing the video. I had kind of forgotten about Dallas’s college uniforms. Therefore, Edmonton is the biggest downgrade for me by a small margin.

Absolutely, I'm a guy who collects Oilers jerseys and it's pretty baffling that literally every design decision there was wrong when you look at them side by side. Removing the hemline striping, the weird non symmetrical arm striping, the arm numbers not matching the gap in the striping, the weird Reebok piping strip, the removal of the oil man shoulder patch... It is quite awful.

For me the Calgary jersey from 2003-2007 was one of their best ever and RBK Edge came along and "verticalised" everything.

That original C of Red was spectacular, and why they've gone back to the 80s instead of that look is sad, really

the fonts of these Avs and Sens jerseys were the only things I miss

The 2007-08 season might be the worst looking ever. At least 75% of teams changed to worse jerseys than what they had

Edge 1.0’s could’ve been sturdier for being a Canada-made jersey, but still at least they were available for retail. Edge 2.0’s were great, and more readily available than adidas MiC’s. Indo-Edge gets a bad rep, but they’re still superior to adidas “authentics”. Overall Reebok quality wasn’t bad. Some of the designs though, well that’s up to you.

Front collarbone numbers. Never could understand why someone thought it was necessary, let alone looked good.

Oh we have many more thoughts about those in an upcoming video

I think it is more accurate to say they were all bad. Reebok tried to homogenize the league for their own convenience and financial gain. They wanted the NHL contract but didn't want to put THAT MUCH effort into it. I would be curious to know if it was a similar situation as with Fanatics where no other companies were interested in the contract at the time.

I feel that Reebok was underrated, but wasn't the best. I have a soft spot for the Penguins and Oilers even if they aren't their best looks. Nostalgia? Brain worm? Who could say. But I always feel like, more of a fan by wearing them.

I started collecting jerseys during the Reebok era. My only real complaint is the replicas /premier jerseys were too thin. I did like both the 1.0 and 2.0 reebok edge jerseys tho.

Wait, did they actually get a letter 😅 because that would be wildly petty!

REEBOK piping on some of Jerseys was terrible or Reebok logo on the back of the jersey was the terrible era they started to get better when the Reebok wordmark was put on the jerseys and by then most of teams lose the pipping . The Panthers piping jerseys look bad to when they took the piping off them Reebok jerseys they looked a lot nicer they was still plan but looked better with out the piping then they changed to the ones they have now

Like you guys said it's really hard to narrow down just three. At least 3/5 of the league had questionable designs at the start of the Edge rollout. Washington, Edmonton, and Calgary outside of the three in the video were among the bottom tier in my opinion.
@uglythirds18 күн бұрын
The fact that Washington hasn't changed their look since the Reebok inception may be the toughest jersey pill to swallow at the moment.
@rambling-along9318 күн бұрын
@@uglythirds Yeah, it's crazy that they have not change their main look in nearly 20 years. Especially when they have plenty of options with various different alternate and throwback looks they had over the same time span.

Urrrgh - Reebok 'the early years' jerseys were all truly awful - vertical striping, the stupid apron string 'piping', the lack of ANY hem stripes, the ridiculous copycat templates and yes the 'Dallas Dallases' jerseys - trying to appeal to college sports fans or something?? I truly HATED the NHL for swapping from my beloved CCM / KOHO to the complete and utter GARBAGE RBK!!

Other than the issues with sizes, I am an Adidas guy. I think they made a better jersey than Reebok. That being said, which manufacture made the best jerseys?

The yellow buffalo jersey is one of the absolute worst. Not to mention the buffaslug. Reebok was really bad.
