Fishing on Leech slowed down this past week with the cold weather we had. This week is warming up and should help stabilize the fishing.
Walleyes have been spotty, but our best reports are coming off of Rodgers point in that 15-20 feet of water. Best presentation has been dead sticking with a live minnow or jogging with a minnow head.
Perch have continued to heat up with more and more reports coming in. This warm weather should help get these fish fired up for an awesome late season bite. Look in 8-10 feet of water using tungsten jigs or spoons tipped with spikes or waxies.
Again, with warm weather this week we caution traveling off resort roads as the lakes are already getting slushy. Even with a snowmobile it is easy to not see a slush pocket and get buried. Take your time and be safe.
