I kept BTAs in a 10 gallon AIO for years (it was BTAs and a few soft corals only though). As long as you don’t spot feed them they grow pretty slowly, and if they begin splitting too much you can just sell them off (they’re always in demand). That said, I did have a green BTA in there that got too big really quickly. The fancier red/orange/yellow varieties seem to grow slower though.

Yes, I’ve slowed down a bit with the spot feeding. Yes, the Arizona will not get to large even at full size👍🏻

Beautiful nem!! To be honest, I have never acclimated anemones. I think I was told not to long ago, but at some point I also completely stopped acclimating any corals. It’s actually worked out better for me but then again, my tanks are more mature & I’m more experienced in knowing what a healthy coral looks like. Who really knows?

Yea, when ever I order online corals or fish I just temperature acclimate, and then right in. It’s actually more harmful to let fish sit in a bag after a 24 hour trip. Mike recommended to acclimate a bit. Corals are quite resilient. 👍🏻j

I have 3 rose bubble tip anemones and once my 2 peppermint finished of the aiptasia they were attacking/eating all 3 to the point they shrunk down to almost nothing. I pulled both peppermint and now all three are coming back. Keep an eye on the werewolf shrimp 😂

The anemone i was talking bout the last time not being to pick one ended up a disaster 😢 i used a container to put the other one for the meantime but it ended up in my powerhead 😢 i was away for 3days and it polluted the water killing 2 of my fish and 3 corals😭

@@TOMReefer Hey Tom..sucks just got home the yellow eyed tang died, other fish seem fine except 1 of my clowns eye swelled up hiding behind a rock corals are all normal..don't lnow what happened..I'm bumbed

Aggression probably, possibly flukes. Watch for the eye going cloudy looking.. do you have other fish in there that could have bullied the tang? Watch your parameters too, white spots could be lots of things such as bacterial nodules or lympho. Tangs are susceptible to those sorts of things and if it were one of those could point to a water quality issue. Hopefully tank doesn't have disease. Gl

BTAs are gorgeous, i heard captive bred clowns don't necessarily host in Anemones but does that matter? they're gorgeous :D

Hi Joe, Mike puts his captive bread clowns in with them and they do host. They are beautiful, I agree, it won’t matter to me if they don’t. The BTA can be a stand alone 👍🏻

Tom I read that peppermint shrimp can be harmful to some anemones. They will eat them.

Hi Dave, peppermint will eat aiptasia, which is considered an anemone. However, they don’t usually eat larger anemones. But it doesn’t surprise me that it’s trying to eat out of the mouth. 😏
