That sand sifting starfish might starve if there arent enough critters in the sandbed

Good to see that you appear to be on the back end of the ugly stage. I set up my tank roughly a month before yours and it was around here that my ugly stage began to subside, dinos being the last thing I had to deal with. Have you added any live copepods to the tank? They are generally great creatures to have in the tank and will even help with the dinos and other algae.

That is not an algae problem, that is a dino problem. I don't know if turbo snails eats dino.
