I went with the GHL KH Director to control dKH and then added on the Profilux later. It was a bit of a learning curve to understand their thought process, but once you get it, you will understand and it makes sense. I have been really impressed at how stable the KHD keeps dKH! I also use the Profilux 4 to control temperature through the PAB along with controlling the Ph in CA reactor as well. I am moving completely over to the GHL 'eco-system' as well as I find more functionality with the P4! Well built product - easy to use - and really looking forward to the new ION Director!! Thanks for the video!!!

I know you said Apex is complicated but GHL looks like you need a lab coat to hook that up! Super impressed with your current build 👍

Man i havent pulled the trigger on any controller for 2 years being in the hobby now mainly because of the price and because it looks like damn rocket science lol

I just purchased the Neptune controller system. I have not unwrapped the plastic off the box yet. This is making me think twice about my purchase. Looks like I'll have to do some additional research into GHL.

Sir I just want to say I throughly enjoy the content you are putting out to help newbies like me in the hobby. Liked and subbed! I do have a question, I also have a GHLP4 and recently purchased a calcium reactor with a kalc reactor as well. I know having a PH controller in the sump and also the calcium reactor is important however would I have to put a third pH sensor in the kalk reactor as well?

I appreciate the very kind words! You just need a pH probe in your sump and Ca reactor, not the kalk reactor.

Man i love the sleek look of the GHL products but I’m happy and good with apex but man looks good Can the Doser be used as a continuous Doser ?

The GHL Doser 2.1 was not meant to be an ATO device, if that is what you are asking.

Been researching GHL for years and not one person has ever said their software was easier. It's all but unanimous that GHL hardware is the best in the industry but their software is easily bottom of the barrel.

I agree with you. I had the Profilux 2 and it was not easy and ended up not really using it for all it purposed. One of the main thing for me to get the Profilux 4 is because it is now a better software and much easier to control and connect. Time will tell, just received my unit. Also, it was easier to get people to help you with Apex products on forums, but with the help of Keith and GHL on KZfaq, i believe that we are on good hands if we have any problems

Totally angry with KHD and GHL Support. Within 8 months, they tell me to send it in for repair for the THIRD time. I decommissioned that garbage! Don’t buy it!
