KH Guardian was THE first auto alkalinity tester in the market and we wanted to see what has changed over the years and if it can stand side by side with other units in the market and if we can recommend this unit as the ultimate budget reefing gear for our series.

What is the yearly maintenance that you have to do? Any tips and tricks that you can share?

@@Reefscom ph probe replcement yearly. I think after 2 or 3 years I replaced all the internal tubing and pump tubing. And thats all in the 4 years I have it.

That’s all I run. Still run mines and has no issues.

I still run my Gen1 KH Guardian after all these years and have upgraded everything for the most part to match the latest config. Sure there were some growing pains in the beginning but things have improved and they have great support from Alex in the US.

Yea, I was pleasantly surprised how much easier it got to install and use. At 399, it's a bargain in a world of "luxury" hobby.

i absolutely love it when you cover topics about captive breeding , do you have some plans to do some about the breeding happening in bali , Indonesia with all the angelfish and other species

@user-tl5fg9hl6q not that I'm aware of. I just happen to know the breeders, so whatever new information I gather, I try to put it in content. I will look into it for you to see if there are specific places online.

@@Reefscom We usually have to paying in £ what you guys pay in $ for kit, which means we are paying more but for some reason we're really getting it bad on this one 🤷♂

@northeastcorals yea, I'm aware of that. You guys were already getting the short end of the stick by getting the same £ and $ number cost, I didn't think you would see this much difference on msrp prices. At this point, it's cheaper to buy one from the u.s. and have it shipped to u.k. 😆
