Paul Foster my favorite male gospel singer of all time he sang lead sung backup and he his voice played well with every other lead singer with the soul stirrers from R H Harris and Sam Cooke to Johnny Taylor and the guy in 60's can't remember his name but Paul was always there a true man of God I always wanted to sing like this man

What happened to this beautiful, pure music? I wish we would go back to this, just good singing, hand clapping, and simple instruments, and singers that don't scale the whole piano with every single verse.

When people lost the anointing in the singing and playing even just the clapping they had to find something to replace that. As we see today where most gospel and churches are at there is no substitution for the real presence of God.

This absolutely mind blowing incredible, they need to start bringing all this music gospel blues back and into peoples lives for healing especially what’s going on on the earth these days..what voices what delivery & just check out the dude on the es-335 that’s one of the best sounding gibsons I’ve ever heard, the tone and the feel…seriously it’s real goes straight to the soul…

Für mich sind und bleiben die Sänger/ Gruppen der 50er/ 60er Jahre die besten aller Zeiten. Da stand die Musik im Vordergrund, perfekte Harmonien die in direkt ins Herz gehen. Heute reicht es aus nett auszusehen, auf der Bühne turnen und paar Töne treffen. Kaum einer bleibt in Erinnerung.... aber The Soul Stirrers , Elvis, Sam Cooke, Jacky Wilson etc werden nie vergessen ❤

​@@idrawstudios87 I spent a few hours in the Recorded Sound Research Center at the Library of Congress a few years ago, but had no such luck. They could very well have something, but a ton of their stuff is sitting in a bomb-proof facility in VA; items are poorly-labeled and only get digitized upon request, so, needle in a haystack. There are whispers of a guy in Chicago who has a trove of old Gospel videos, but refuses to digitize them for personal reasons. That seems like the best shot.
