In this episode we pick up our custom three pump sea chest from Best Marine and head to Fort Myers to come up with game plan for installation. The sea chest features 316 L Stainless Steel with three Rule pumps designed to power each of our live wells.

Looks sweet Capt Mike sea chest makes the most sense to me you only have 1 threw hull instead of 3 or 4 with the washdown.

Dream boat = Worth it Got the new shirt in today and its awesome. Its made of a material different than your normal fishing garb. Feels and fits great. I can't wait to use it on the water!

this is the best boat build video on you tube .. Latitude needs a big thank you for allowing cameras in the factory .. and of course thanxs capt mike for taking the time to document this.. now what is going to be the name of yore boat ? and what is the first fish you are going to catch in yore really nice new boat . the boat is built like a tank , it should wear out many engines

I like the sea chest for you, couldn't imagine you having a boat without one. For me, I would add a trolling motor to the bow.

If you do, make sure the trolling motor has the SPOT LOCK feature on it. That is a real game changer. John

@@TheSpadre First, thanks for the reply. I thought the same thing watching most the videos out there, until a friend of mine told me he was using one on his bay boat and LOVED it. I live on the West Coast of Florida near Tampa Bay and do a lot of inshore saltwater fishing and my unit works like a champ. I also do some occasional fresh water fishing and it works there as well. I use the Minn Kota RipTide (i.e. Saltwater Version) with IPILOT which includes GPS that allows the SPOT LOCK feature to work. They offer them in 12, 24 and 36 volt versions depending on the size of your boat. If you happen to be running a Hummingbird chart plotter I think you can even control it from your Hummingbird chart plotter. They are not cheap but the best money I have spent on boating accessories in a long time. Just go to your favorite Waypoint, deploy the trolling motor, turn on the spot lock and FISH. I have an anchor but have not had it out of the anchor locker since I purchased this product. No more time wasted deploying and retrieving the anchor multiple times, to setup on the spot you want. No more aching back from deploying and retrieving the anchor, and mess inside your boat from the seaweed etc. You can also move it in 5 foot increments in all directions if necessary to adjust your position if needed. Do your research, and see if there is a model that is suitable for your fishing style. You can also call Minn Kota and they are willing to answer any questions prior to your purchase. There are also other options on the unit that will help you along with your fishing fun. John

@@helicopterjohns pretty sure Keith was messing with you.... anyone who's spent even a single day in saltwater in the last few years has seen that 90% of the boats out fishing are running I-pilots. That being said Rhodan makes a much nicer trolling motor with spot lock. And for his type of fishing I don't see why he would even need one.

Hi, Love your channel and the content. The box and idea get a thumbs up!!!! The Rule Pumps get a Thumbs down for me. My NEW 17 foot Scout boat came with a Rule pump for my live well. Within a few trips my unit failed. Turns out the shaft that the impeller was mounted on completely corroded and the impeller fell off. Don't know what the shaft was made of but it was junk and not suited for salt water use. Scout Boats gladly replaced the pump under warranty and so far the replacement seems to be working O.K. Love my boat, but not the Rule Pump. If it fails again out of warranty I think I will try a BAIT SENTRY™ 800 Magnetic Drive Livewell Pump The magnetic drive isolates the actual pump from the impeller. Never used one, but I think it will be worth a try. BTW this one is only 800 GPH but I would think they make them is higher GPH ratings. Just some information on my personal experience. John

Hey Capt. Mike the Best Marine Sea Chest looks Awesome, but if it could also be rigged to be a bilge pump weather you use 1 or All 3 pumps as needed if you needed to pump out the bilge , THAT would be even more Awesome, it could be a life saver if (God Forbid) you ever take on water, it could be as easily done with 1 T, 3 shut off valves and a drain hose, just a Thought,,, The Boat's Looking Great,,,

How do you get that much water out of the livewells? How big of a drain line are you putting in? I run a single 800 GPH for two live wells and overflow them.

Westcoast bait tanks/systems are very different from Florida Here on the Westcoast we use a taller narrower bait tank with an isolated standpipe Water flow should be 100% chance out every 10 minutes I can get by with a high speed clamshell pickup and a very small low amp draw bait pump A good 2 scoops of cured bait can last 3-5 days Sorry a fancy case with 3 inexpensive rule 1500 bilge pumps makes no sense to Westcoast fishermen

mike , who are you going to get to rig your boat.. in one sense this is a pain latitude does not rig their own boats. there is an advantage to get some of the rigging done before the inner liner is placed ... but on the other hand the boat will be totally the way you want.. i would love something like this behind the seat www.boatoutfitters.com/tackle-storage-locker-13770-51061 regardless you are going to have a great boat on a classic hull ... you choose wisely mike

@@ReelReports Tekéze TV had his boat done around Tampa or somewhere . they did a good job .but there were a lot of open wire connections that could get exposed to water . I would want my boat close to home too.. because a lot happens quickly with a lot of decisions . thanxs for saying hi back ... a contest about what to name the boat would be fun , plus watching yore wife smash the boat with a Champaign bottle could be a major party ..ill wait for yore next video .. so far wonderful job
